August 2020 Paper Pumpkin Unboxing

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the August 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  When I got my kit in last week I put one of each card together on my weekly Facebook Live.  Here's a look at the three projects.

I put together each of the cards as close to the directions as I could.  Everyone knows that must of us don't always don't follow the directions as can be, but I tried my hardest to make sure I did this month.  Here's a closer look at the all three cards that I made using this month's kit.

July Paper Pumpkin Summer Nights Alternative Projects

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am here to take part in the July A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop with two alternative projects using the July 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit Summer Nights.  For my two alternative projects today I used some items from this month's kit and some additional cardstock.  Here's a look at my card alternative project.

For my alternative card I took one of the post cards that came in this month's kit and stamped the Firework/starburst image three times on the card front.  I then added some Terracotta Tile Ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack around the card and tied it in a flat knot.  I placed my card front onto a Blackberry Bliss card base that was cut at 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/4".

I stamped my sentiment on to one of the labels from the kit, and added it to the card front with a few Stampin' Dimensionals.  I finished off my card with a few of the star embellishments from the kit and a couple of the die cuts.

For my 3D project this month I created a little shadow box to showcase the stamped sentiment "oh the Summer Nights are all alight with everything Magic and Bright".  I thought this was such a beautiful sentiment stamp that it needed a little attention.  So, what better way to do that than to put it in a little shadow box.  The shadow box was made from a piece of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock that I cut at 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" then I did a little scoring cutting and folding to make the frame.  I added one of the postcards from the kit cut down to 4" x 4"; on to which I stamped the same fireworks/starburst image from the stamp set.  Once I glued the frame together I added some of the same ribbon I used on my card and did a little embellishing with elements from the Summer Nights Paper Pumpkin Kit to finish it off.  I would display this on one the little easels you can get.  I actually just purchased one the other day just for this project and when I went to take my pictures I could not find it to save my life.

If you haven't seen the what this month's kit was designed to make here's a picture from Stampin' Up! of the intended projects.

Here's a little sneak peek at next month's kit as well with a little video from Paper Pumpkin.  If you are viewing this post by email you may have to click here to view the sneak peek video.

May Paper Pumpkin A Kit In Color

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the cards that I made using the May 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit - A Kit In Color.  This was a super fun kit and was a first for Stampin' Up! and Paper Pumpkin they featured four of the new 2020-2022 In Colors and one of the 2019-2021 In Colors in this month's kit.  Paper Pumpkin is a crafting subscription kit that's mailed to your home each month you are a subscriber.  Each month there's a different set of predesigned projects and supplies in the kit.  This month we made 12 cards (4 each of 3 designs).  Here's a look at the cards that I made following the kit instructions.

This month's kit was very bright and cheerful, with the rainbow themed designs and fun new colors.  The colors featured in the kit were Just Jade, Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee, and Purple Posy.  So I set down with my little box of goodies and started putting my card together.  Each month besides the precut supplies to make the projects you also get an exclusive stamp set and at least one ink spot in one of the Stampin' Up! colors.  This month we got Misty Moonlight as our ink spot color.

Once I got everything out of the box I seperated everything into what went with each card design.  Once I did that I could start making all of the same card designs at ounce and batched the work.  I did all the stamping for the Just Jade card.  Then I put all the rainbows on.  And went step by step on everything for that card.

One of the great things about working in this way is you can get one set done before moving on to the next ones and you don't get confused on what goes on the card when you come back to it.  Plus it makes the work flow even faster with the step by step directions in the kit.  Next I moved onto the stripped rainbow card.  And repeated the process.

After I finished all the striped cards I moved on to the purple posy card and just repeated the same work flow.  I did all my stamping, attached all the vellum pieces after folding over the card base.  Then I added the card front, then added the sentiment, tied all the bows and added them.

After I finished I had 12 beautiful cards that I could send out to my customers, friends, family or anyone that needed a pick me up.  They even came with matching envelopes so that makes it even better.  Here's another look at the cards.

Another great thing about Paper Pumpkin is they are always different each month so I have new crafting supplies sent to my door and I don't have to go to the store.  Unless, I want to, but as a demonstrator I don't have to go to the store anyway I just order from my online store and have it shipped directly to my home.  The June kit is all about Sharing Sunshine and will come is a bright yellow box.  The goal of this kit is to after you use the supplies on the inside you fill the box back up with a little sunshine (yellow goodies) and send it or deliver it to a friend.

The June Kit is a one-of-a-kind kit, inspired by Sara and her #sharesunshine passion.  So it will be a fun kit and supplies inside.  This kit includes extra pieces and stickers (including a sticker label) to help you create cards AND a Box of Sunshine filled with treats and goodies to send to a friend. (Treats not included.)  Subscribe for the June kit from 11 May–10 June or while supplies last.  Last month's kit sold out in record time.  Click here to subscribe.

Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have a wonderful day.  If you would like to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me I would love that.  I send all my subscribers an exclusive PDF tutorial filled with alternative projects each month using that month's kit as a perk for being one of my Pumpkin Patch members.  Remember you can subscribe by clicking here.
