So Inviting - Pleased As Punch Facebook Live Mini Class

Hello everyone, it's time for this weeks Facebook Live Mini Class!  This week I am going to share with you three projects featuring the So Inviting Stamp Set Set from the  January - June Mini Catalog and the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper (a Coordinating Product Release Product).

Saleabration is Stampin' Up!'s biggest Sale of the year; where you get rewarded with free items based on your orders.  There are two different levels as the last few year.

During this weeks Facebook Live Mini Class I am going to be making three projects with you to get you ready for any Birthday Party.  I decided to use the new So Inviting stamp sets in this mini class, which is featured in My So Inviting Invitations Class.  I just love everything about this stamp set and I 've waited a long time for a set that would allow me to create custom invitations and thank you cards and more for a party or event.

In case you've never joined me for Facebook Live, I go live every week, (typically on Wednesday at 8:00 pm CST) on my Facebook business page with one to three projects.  On the second Wednesday of the month I will be doing my Facebook Live mini Class at 4 pm CST due to scheduling conflict.  Everyone is welcome to join!

If you were unable to join me live I will have uploaded the video here afterwards.  If you are viewing this post by email you may have to click here to see the video.

This Week's Projects:

One of the first things you have to do when you are going to have a party or event is you have to send out invitations, right!  Well, what's better than making your own with the So Inviting Stamp Set.  So that's the first thing we are going to do.  We need an invitation to send out so I used the Pleased As Punch DSP and the So Inviting Stamp Set to create a fun invite that would work for any occasion.  And with the help of the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set (SAB item) it was super easy to make a fun Birthday Themed Invite.

So once the invites are created and mailed we are going to need a little party favor for our guests right?  So I used some of the products from the January-June Mini Catalog and created a quick and easy party favor so everyone could have a little something to take home.

Now that the party is over and we have received some wonderful gifts!  It's time to make a few Thank you cards and send out thanking everyone for coming and to thank the people that sent or brought gifts.  So I used the same stamp set and DSP and did just that.

You can check the PDF for the measurements.

**All of the details for today's three
projects can be found on the

From My Heart Little Ladybug Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the super cute card that I made as my January Thank You Cards.  I used the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper and the super cute and fun Little Ladybug Stamp Set to create my cards.  The Designer Series Paper features foil accents and the Little Ladybug stamp set is a Saleabration Host Set (which can only be earned with a qualifying order or party of $300 or more.  Here's a look at my card.

I started off by cutting all my card bases into 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and then scored them at 4 1/4 to make a standard A2 card base.  Once I had all the card bases done with my Real Red Cardstock I then cut my Designer Series Paper.  The Designer Series paper was cut at 4 x 5 1/4 and I attached them to the front of the card bases with a little liquid glue.
I only made ten of this design because I have found that after that many of the same thing I am bored with that design and ready to move on to something else.  So after putting my paper on the card bases I cut out some stitched nested labels and stamped my ladybugs and colored them with Real Red Stampin' Blends.
After all the coloring was complete I attached them to the card fronts using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I then punched out the two different heart designs on the the designer series paper using the Heart Punch Pack which are part of the Heartfelt Bundle.  I stamped my sentiment on the scalloped heart in Real Red Ink before punching each one out.
So after all the punching I had enough hearts to do all my cards.   So I laid them all out to look at them and see if I needed anything else for my cards.
Once I had everything laid out and looked at everything I decided that it needed another heart, but I didn't want a large one.  I thought that the smaller heart would work just great and not over power the card but add to it.  So I pulled out my Dog Builder Punch and the scraps from the larger hearts and went around and punched out enough of the smaller ones to make my cards.  The heart in the dog punch is the perfect size to do the small ones and it almost fit the red little heart in the design above.
After everything was put together I decided that the large hearts needed to be popped up well the scalloped one anyway.  So I attached the regular heart with liquid glue and used a couple stampin' dimensionals on the scalloped heart with my sentiment.  I attached the small dog punch heart with a mini glue dot.
Thanks for dropping by today I will see you again tomorrow with a new project and video tutorial.

Rick's July Thank You Cards Featuring the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my July Thank You Cards.  For this month's cards I picked the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set which is also the stamp set I picked for this years Summer Retreat to go.  You can read more about that here.  I thought this was the perfect Summer Stamp Set with all the lovely flowers just begging to be stamped.  Here's a look at my cards.

The Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set is a DistINKtive Stamp Set that was laser etched to create different tones and values on your projects without having to use multiple stamps or ink colors.  This set was designed to give the look of watercolor without paint brush or water.  Super cool right.  Here's a look at the stamp set and you can see why I feel in love with it when I saw it in the catalog.
You may want to have a Piercing Mat just in case.  When I first used this set I needed one but once I got my stamps seasoned I didn't have to use it as you will see in the video.  Just a little tip for you if you are in a pinch you can use a full sheet of dimensionals as that little extra cushion.  I did it a couple weeks ago while working on a presentation I did for Stampin' Up! at a Mini Demonstrator Retreat.

I switched up the color combinations for all my cards this month, but basically kept the design the same.  There maybe a few variations but it's hand made not hallmark after all.   For this card and the one I shared in the video I used Blueberry Bushel, Calypso Coral, and Call Me Clover.   You can see in the image above all the different tones and values created from this type of stamp.  And the best part is it was only one stamp and I didn't have to layer multiple stamps to get that look.  Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have enjoyed the little look at my July Thank you cards.  Each time you order with me you will get one of the color combinations sent to you in the mail.  If you need any of the supplies you can pick them up in my online store I look forward to being your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
