Six You're So Totally Awesome Cards - Waves of Inspiration

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my March Thank You Cards that I made using the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set.  I picked six different colors of Cardstock and created the cards using this fun inspirational stamp set.  All the colors I picked came straight from the matching Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper.

Sometimes you just have to share how totally awesome you think someone is. And I think my March Thank You Cards do just that. With the fun colors that I picked right from the Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper even through I did not use the DSP at all.  I only used the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set and the Stamparatus to create these cards.

I picked the six different colors of colored cardstock (again based on the colors in the DSP) and cut them all down to size. I knew I wanted to use a Basic White Thick Cardstock card base.  So that part went by super quick.  I cut all the card bases and cardstock panels at one time.

I used a matching ink color for each color of cardstock and my Craft White Ink Pad.  I used Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green Cardstock and Ink Pads, on the first two cards.

Each panel of colored cardstock was placed in my Stamparatus and I stamped all of the colored panels in the matching ink first.  For example the Calypso Coral card below was stamped in Calypso Coral Ink first.  I then changed to the next color and stamped each element in the coordinating color.

After I stamped all the waves in the coordinating ink color to the matching cardstock. I then placed the image back into the Stamparatus and stamped the waves again but instead I used Craft White Ink.  Before stamping the white layer I shifted the panel either up or down a little to create a layered effect (ghost shadow) on the waves.

After the Craft White Ink dried I then came back and stamped the sentiment on each panel in Versamark Ink and used my White Stampin' Emboss Powder to cover the sticky ink; before heat setting each with my Heat Tool.

After all the heat embossing was completed I then came back again and stamped the seagulls from the stamp set around the sentiment in the coordinating Ink color to the cardstock.

I then attached each panel to my 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Basic White Thick Cardstock card base with strong adhesive.
