Enjoy the Season - Stampin' Up! Birds of A Feather Stamp Set

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a super cute Holiday card using one of my favorite stamp sets, and the cutest chubby little bird you will ever see.  If you follow me at all you know that I am in love with the Birds of a Feather Stamp Set and it's one of my favorite sets from the Holiday Catalog so I couldn't help but use it on my card today.  Here's a look at my card.

Tips & Tricks:

I started my card by using a half sheet of Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.  I stamped the stars from the set in matching Cherry Cobbler ink in a diagonal pattern on the card base.  Once I had the background stamped I moved onto the focal image.  To start I used a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the little cute chubby bird in the Santa hat in tuxedo black ink in the middle.
I then stamped the stars across the top of the Whisper White cardstock also in tuxedo black ink.  I then colored the stars and my little bird in the following colors; Cherry Cobbler (Santa Hat), Pool Party light & dark (bird), and Daffodil Delight light & dark (for the stars and beak).  I then stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler ink.
I added my colored image to a piece of Pool Party Cardstock and then to a piece of Gray Granite Cardstock.  I then attached some of the Cherry Cobbler diagonal striped ribbon and added a knot.  I popped up this piece on to the card base to finish off the card.
Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you like my little card and you will give it a try for a quick little Christmas Card.

Tis the Season

Hello and welcome to my blog; I hope that you are having a wonderful day!  I am going to share with you the card that I did last night during my Facebook Live.  I have a weekly Facebook Live mini Class every Wednesday night at 8 pm CST.  I also share that project and and tutorial the next day here and on my YouTube Channel.  Last night I used products from the Night Before Christmas Suite in the 2019 Holiday Catalog.  Here's a look at my card.

Tips & Tricks:

I created this card with some scraps from my stash.  Well the designer series paper and the stamped and die cut images are from scraps any way.  I used my layering circle dies and my 2 1/4" punch to cut out punch the circles.  You can pick any of the designer series paper from the Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper 6 x 6 paper to create this card.  Any of the designs in this pack of DSP will work for this card.  The background piece of cardstock in Old Olive and I embossed it with the Winter Knit 3d embossing folder, before attaching it to the Very Vanilla Card base.
Once I had the embossed background and the circles attached to the card base; I then stamped the little poinsettia image from Cup of Christmas and colored it with my Real Red light and dark stampin blends and the Flirty Flamingo Dark blend dark mango melody stampin' blend.  I ran it through my die cutting machine with the matching embossing folder and attached it with a Stampin' Dimensionals.  The Cup of Christmas set isn't part of this suite of products but I am featuring both of these sets in two of my online Classes this month.  If you are interested in either of these classes you can email me and I will send you the registration link.  If you want to take both of these classes at the same time please mention that in the email because you will save on shipping costs.
Once the poinsettia was colored and cut out and attached to the card front.  I worked on the sentiment for my card; I took a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and colored it with the Flirty Flamingo dark, Real Red light and dark blends and blended the colors together to make an ombre' look and then used the Tis the Season die and cut it out on my die cutting machine.  After all that I attached it to the card front with a little liquid glue.  To finish off the card I added  a few Red Rhinestones to the front of the card.

Saturday Simple Stamping #38: Tiny Keepsake Clean & Simple Christmas Card

Hello and welcome to my blog and Day 3 of my 25 Days of Christmas (Holiday Card Series for 2019).  I am going to share with you another card an video for this years Holiday Card Series and today's card is also a Simple Stamping Card as well.  With the 25 Days of Christmas Series I have new Christmas/Holiday projects coming out every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday until December 21, 2019.  For today's card I used the stamp set Tiny Keepsake and created a Clean and Simple Christmas Card for you today.  Here's a look at my card.

As I mentioned above this card was also designed for the beginner in mind.  It only uses stamps, ink , paper, and a embellishment.  Today I chose to use the Red Rhinestones from the Annual Catalog as the embellishment on my card.  I thought that the simplicity of the card didn't need a lot of extra stuff.  I wanted to use the Tiny Keepsake stamp set from the Holiday Catalog but in a different way than what it was designed for.  This stamp set was designed to decorate the Tiny Curvy Keepsake box.  But, I used one of the design images as the focal image of my card today.  I just adore the simple striped image; it reminds me of candy canes and I thought it was perfect for a clean and simple one layer card.
I stamped the stripped image in the center of my thick Whisper White Card base in Real Red ink.  I thought that this was a perfect attention grabber for a clean and simple card design.  It still reads Christmas without being overpowering.  This design is perfect for mass production and a new stamper at the same time.  Because you can set it up in the Stamparatus and stamp all the card bases at one time or use a clear block and do the same.
Once I had the center stamped I stamped one of the greetings from the stamp set on the outside in Old Olive ink.   I did add a inside sentiment with the Host Set Greatest Part of Christmas (which is one of my favorite Christmas sentiments sets ever).  I love the mix of inside and outside sentiments in this set and it has all kids of different fonts that I am sure you will find something to work on your cards.
As I mentioned before once I had the outside and inside finished I just added a few of the red rhinestones to embellish the card.  If you have missed any of the projects in my 25 Days of Christmas Holiday Card Series you can click here to view them all or just do a simple search on my blog and find them.
