I am Always Here for You - Botanical Prints

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card that I made using the products in the Botanical Prints Product Medley from the January-June Mini Catalog.  Creativity comes easy when you've got amazing coordinating products. Stampin' Up! doesn't want to brag, but coordination is one of their strong points. The Botanical Prints Product Medley is a perfect example. The medley includes stamps, paper, dies, and accessories for creating cards and more.  Here's a look at my card.

I love the look of the black and white with the pop of color on the paper in the Botanical Prints Product Medley.  I cut the piece of Terracotta Tile DSP down to 3 3/4 x 5 and added it to a Old Olive Cardstock Mat cut at 5 1/4 x 4.  I then added it to my card base.  The card base is a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.  Once I had the card front attached to the card base.  I stamped the matching floral image from the stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink.

I then colored the stamped floral images with my Calypso Coral Dark, Old Olive Light and Dark Petal Pink Light & Dark blends and the Dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blend.  The Dark Calypso Coral is very close to Terracotta Tile.  There isn't a Terracotta Tile Stampin' Blend so this was as close as I could get.  I just did simple coloring with the blends to add color to each flower.  I colored with the dark blend first and then blended out with the light.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set and used the Label Me Fancy Punch and punched it out.  I used the ribbon slit on the punch and punched it above and below the sentiment.  I then took some of the Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon and some of the Old Olive Ribbon from the Product Medley.

After putting the ribbons together I slid them through the slits in the sentiment.  I added a couple dimensionals behind the sentiment and placed on the card.  I tucked the floral blossoms behind the sentiment.  I then added one of the copper bee elements from the product medley with a mini glue dots.  I added a piece of the backside of the DSP to the flap of the envelope as well as a strip on the inside.  I also stamped the same floral image to the inside of the card.  This finished off my card.

Thanks for dropping by I hope that you have enjoyed my little look at the Botanical Prints Product Medley.  This is probably one of my favorite products in the catalog.  You get so much in the Product Meadley.  Inside the box is the Stamp Set and Die Bundle, a Pack of 6 x 6 DSP, Embellishment and ribbon.

Friends Like You - Positive Thoughts Video Tutorial

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have another Video Tutorial and fun little card for you.  Today, I am using the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set and the coordinating dies from the Coordinating Products release.  Remember that the Coordinating Products are while supplies last or until March 31, 2020.  I designed this card to be a fun Springtime card that's sure to send positive thoughts.  Positive thoughts are exactly what you get in the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set. Use the images and phrases in these stamps to create a bouquet of affirmation for someone you love.  Here's a look at today's project.

Tips & Tricks:

I started out my card today by cutting the Parisian Blossom Speciality Designer Series Paper to card front size.  And added it to the top folding card base that was made from a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock.  Next I cut the Very Vanilla piece using the stitched die from the coordinating die set.  You may be wondering why I picked Very Vanilla for some of the project and whisper white for the other.  I love the mixture of the two because it allows you to add colors that go with both.  Plus it adds a neutral to the white that some don't even think of and it allows the images on the white to stand out more against the vanilla.

Once the stitched piece was cut and attached to the card base using dimensionals.  I stamped the fern/foliage image from the stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink.  I also stamped the flower from the set twice full strength and once second generation.  By doing the second generation stamping I have a lighter shade of petal pink that allows for more life to the color combination while still keeping everything cohesive.  I then stamped the butterfly from the set in So Saffron.  Once this was done I used the Nature's Thoughts Die and cut each stamped image out.

After all the die cutting and stamping I took the Very Vanilla piece and stamped the sentiment from the set in Petal Pink ink at the bottom.  I thought that by having the sentiment at the bottom of the card allowed a good place to ground the card and keep the focus on the card.  I then added the stamped images in a triangle pattern.  To finish off the card I used a few of the Champagne Rhinestones.

Positive Thoughts Bouquet for #PCC370

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the card that I created for the Paper Craft Crew Inspirational Challenge this week.  The inspirational piece this week has a very Spring like feel to it, or even could be used for a wedding.  I picked the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set for the main focus of my card.  Positive thoughts are exactly what you get in the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set. Use the images and phrases in these stamps to create a bouquet of affirmation for someone you love.  Here's a look at my project.

Here's a look at this week's inspiration image. You can click here to visit the Paper Crafts Crews Site and check out what the other design team members came up with.

Tips & Tricks:

I started out my using my Sponge Brayer and inked up the card base made from a 4 1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White Cardstock.   I didn't do a very heavy coat of the inks that I used because I knew I was going to come back and add the geometric shape from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and do another layer of ink blending.  I used the following colors on my card and I am going to list what I used for ink blending first then the two greens for the flower bouquet.  Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Pineapple Punch, (ink blending) Garden Green & Granny Apple Green inks.

After the ink blending it was time to do a little stamping.  I stamped all the images on Whisper White Cardstock.  I stamped the flowers from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set first.  I did a little first and second generation stamping for the flowers because I wanted a couple that was just a little lighter than just straight Poppy Parade.  This is a great way to get more mileage from your ink pads.  I then stamped the foliage from the stamp set in Garden Green and Granny Apple Green Inks.  I then stamped the butterfly in Pineapple Punch Ink.  Now I will go ahead and tell you that currently as part of the Coordinating Product Release there are matching dies (Nature's Thoughts Dies) for this stamp set.  Now I do not have these dies because when I ordered the products in the Coordinating Product Release I forgot to order this one set (Head Smack!)  So since I didn't order them I had to fussy cut out each of the stamped images with my Paper Snips.  In reality it really didn't take to long to do, but could have gone much faster with the dies.

After cutting everything out I started my arranging of all the pieces.  I used a trangliur arrangement to place the flowers and foliage.   I cut some of the foliage smaller and piecemealed them into the arrangement.  Once I had my arrangement set it was time to start gluing things down.  I used a combination of Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin' Dimensionals to attach everything.  I popped two of the flowers up on Dimensionals along with the butterfly.  I also added a dimensional under the end of one of the foliage pieces to add just a little lift them so they were not all just glued down flat.

To finish off my card I stamped my sentiment onto some Basic Black Cardstock with Versamark ink so that I could add my White Stampin' Embossing Powder before heat setting.  Once I had my sentiment heat set I cut into two pieces so I could add a little more interest to my card.  I then added the finishing touch to the card but didn't want anything to over powering; finally I decided on the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots that was part of the Christmastime is Here Suite that was released in November.  These little glittering golden bits of fun add just the right touch to finish off my card.  They are not to big, not to small, but just right as Goldie Locks said.

Thanks for dropping by today!  I hope that you will take a little time and play along with this weeks Paper Craft Crew Challenge.  You will find the entire shopping list of supplies that I used listed below.
