You're My Person - Modern Heart Kylie's Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog for the second post today.  I am back again for this month's Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop.  This month I am going to share a card with you that I made using the retiring Modern Heart Stamp Set.  This is another one of those sets that I waited to order because well you know all the reasons why:  I am sure you have said them yourself.  I actually got this stamp set in my shipment the day that the Last Chance List came out.  So you can imagine that I was a little upset when I saw it and three others I just ordered on the list.  So I decided to make lemonade and use them anyway.  I was actually really surprised it was on the list, since it only came out last year in the Annual Catalog, and everyone I knew had it.  Any way Here's a look at my card.

I started my card today by figuring out what I wanted to use and the color scheme for my project; this seems to be my go to for starting a card.  I like to figure out what colors I am using; then work from there.  I usually will pull the colors from my designer series paper.  With this card I used the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper.  I pulled the colors from the coordinating colors on the back of the paper pack and added in Basic Gray, because we all know it goes with everything.

I then picked out the designer series paper that I wanted cut it down to size and added it to a Whisper White mat.  Then I added that to a Blackberry Bliss mat before adding this to the Thick Whisper White Card base.  I then stamped the heart from the Modern Heart Stamp Set and used the watercolor wash image from the set to fill it in with Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink.   But, before stamping the watercolor wash image down I stamped off on a piece of scrap paper to have just a little lighter color.  I then added the stamped image to a Blackberry Bliss mat and added it to my card front.

I next stamped my sentiment in Old Olive Classic Ink and punched it out using a 1 1/2" Circle Punch.  I added the whisper white circle to a blackberry bliss circle which by the way was punched out with a 2" Circle Punch.  I popped the Whisper White circle up on Stampin' Dimensionals and then popped the sentiment up again once layered with dimensionals on the card front.  To finish off my card I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels sprinkled around the card to add a little sparkle.

I also added just a little something to the inside of the card with a strip of matching designer series paper.  Thanks for joining me for my second post today.  Make sure that you hop along with the others in the blog hop I know you will find a lot to be inspired by today.  You can also shop all the supplies I used today in my online store by clicking on the item in the Shopping List below the blog roll.

Kylie's Monthly Training Team Blog Hop: Layered With Kindness Friendship Card

Welcome back to my blog:  This is my second post for today, and I am back for Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.  You will be able to see projects from all over during the hop.  So, I know that you will have a wonderful time.  For my project for the hop I created a super cute card that uses the Layered with Kindness Stamp Set and the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper that I shared earlier today with you.  Here's a look at the Friendship card I made.

Layered With Kindness:

Create quick tags and greeting cards with graceful greetings from the Layered with Kindness Stamp Set. Stamp flowers and leaves for a finishing touch.  This is a Distinktive** stamp set; it has a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images. **Patent pending  For the front of my card I used the  For My Friend sentiment stamped in Petal Pink ink.  I then punched it out with the Label Me Fancy Punch.  I then cut down my Petal Pink card base 4 1/4 x 11 and folded it in half to make my A2 size card base.  I cut down a piece of the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper (that's part of the Coordinating Product Release that's only available.  while supplies last or until March 31, 2020).  I matted the Designer Series paper onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock before adding it to my card base.
Dress up your paper crafts with the flowers, hearts, raindrops, and other patterns from the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper. Great card making paper, scrapbooking paper, and more.  I used more of the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper to punch out the small flowers you see above.  Images on one side of each sheet of the designer series paper matches one of the punches either from Saleabration or from the January - June Mini Catalog.  The small flowers match the Small Blossom punch from Saleabration.  One design matches the Heart Punch Pack, another matches the Umbrella Builder Punch, while the last coordinates with the Tulip Punch.  You can see that with all this coordination this pack a paper really packs a punch.
To finish off my card I added a few of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones to each of the flowers.  If you are viewing this post on my wordpress site you will have to click here to view the blog roll.

Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Team Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to this month's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.  It's Fall still even with the temperature that has dropped to a cool Winter chill.  But sometimes it happens that it starts getting colder during Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving in the States is only three weeks away, and we all have a lot to be thankful for.  During this time of the year in the US we celebrate Thanksgiving a time to be thankful for everything in your life.  Over the last year there has been a lot of ups and downs good and bad that have happened.  I am thankful for so much during this season of thanks.  I am thankful for the time that my Baby brother had to stay with us during his recovery before his untimely passing, I am thankful for my supportive customers and friends.  I am thankful for being part of this training program again this year.  I am thankful for so many things so with all that in mind I wanted to create a card to represent these and all the other things I am Thankful for this season.  Let's have a look at my card.

Basically for my card I used scraps of the Come Together Designer Series Paper and puzzle pieced these scraps into a design that was pleasing to the eye.  I like to refer to this as the Puzzle Piecing or Patchwork technique.  This is a fun way to create especially if you have hit a brick wall in the creative process.  By working in this technique you free up your mind to get past the blocks that could be keeping you from creating.  Once I had the design figured out I added mats to the designer series paper.  Some of the layers were popped up on dimensionals, some where just glued down using liquid glue.   After stamping the pumpkins I used my Wink of Stella to create a watercolor look on the pumpkins.  I cut them out using the matching dies, and added them to my card.
