Timeless Tropical Kraft Pillow Box

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a quick little idea on how to make a super quick tropical gift for someone.  Well, at least the packaging any way. The Timeless Oasis Suite of products can make for a fun package when paired with the Kraft Pillow Boxes.  I am going to share with you how to decorate the pillow box and how to make a tag for it as well.  Here's a look at my quick and simple little project.

Tips & Tricks:

The kraft pillow boxes are a great tool to have in your stash for quick gift giving ideas that you can decorate.  I am sad that they are leaving but I know we are getting something just a great for gift packaging.  As of this posting of the project they are still available in the last chance list on my website.  I started out my project by stamping the large flower in Daffodil Delight Classic Ink and used the matching die to cut it out.  I also stamped three of the large flowers in Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink and cut them out also.  All the stamping was done on a half sheet of Whisper White cardstock but you could use scraps that matches the sizes you need.

Next I wrapped a 2" x 7" piece of the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper around the pillow box and secured it with a little Tear & Tape.  So you could make a lot of these with a little designer series paper.   Once I had everything wrapped I took about 30" or so of the Braided Burlap Ribbon and pulled three of four strands from it.  I wanted a very textural bow that was easy to tie and this was a great solution.  I love the look of the texture from the pieces of the ribbon against the clean lines of the pillow box.

I then started by adding my stamped images to the front of the pillow boxes with Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots.  I then stamped my sentiment and used the Label Me Lovely Punch and punched it out.  But, if you notice the sentiment punch out doesn't look anything like that punch.  Well I used it again and relined up my sentiment piece and punched it out smaller to create a new shape.  I popped this up on Stampin' Dimensionals as well to finish off the pillow box.

Again I am in love with these pillow boxes and very sad that they are on the last chance list.  I think they make perfect gift packaging for last minute gifts or even to pop in a gift card.  If you want to grab some please do so soon before they are gone.  All I can tell you is that they are still listed on the website, but I have no idea how many are available so there's a chance they could sale out any day.  Everything on the last chance list is while supplies last; the stamps are guaranteed to be in stock until May 22, 2020 and they after that they are also while supplies last.

Welcome Easter Facebook Live Mini Class

Hello everyone I hope that you are having a wonderful week so far!  Remember this is hump day and the middle of the work week so not much longer.  I am here with you to share this weeks Facebook Live Mini Class with you and a few tips and tricks along the way.  This week I am featuring the Welcome Easter Stamp Set and will be sharing with you a three different ways to color images.  I actually shared one tip with your earlier today if you missed my post from this morning you can click here and check it out.

During this weeks Facebook Live Mini Class I am going to be making three projects with you to get you ready for  Easter and I am going to share with you three ways to add color to your projects. I based today's class off of the card I shared this morning.  On my post this morning I shared a card using my watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color in the images.  Here's a look at that card.

In case you've never joined me for Facebook Live, I go live every week, (typically on Wednesday at 8:00 pm CST) on my Facebook business page with one to three projects.  On the second Wednesday of the month I will be doing my Facebook Live mini Class at 4 pm CST due to scheduling conflict.  Everyone is welcome to join!

If you were unable to join me live I will have uploaded the video here afterwards.  If you are not able to see the embedded video you may have to click here.

This Week's Projects:

For my first project tonight I tried to come up with a way to add color to an image without really having to color.  So I thought about using another stamp set to fill in the color or using one of the Best Dressed Note Cards.

For my next project I made a regular A2 size card using the bunny from the stamp set.  I used the Easter Blessings stamp from Itty Bitty Greetings for the sentiment.  I watercolored the main image of this card with ink and a blender pen.  I thought it was a fun little card and quick way to add some color.  You can go as simple or use as much coloring you would like.

My finial project for the night was this cute little easter box using the sheep image from the Welcome Easter Stamp Set.  To color my little Ewe I used stampin' blends in Flirty Flamingo, Gray Granite, and Highland Heather.  This is a really easy box to put together and is a quick project to make to fill with Easter Treats.

Roses are Red Violets are Blue Chocolate/Money Holder

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a project that is very versatile and could be used in two different ways if not a few more that I haven't thought about yet.  I used products from the From My Heart Suite to create my project.  If you need to make some treats for Valentine's Day you still have time to do so.  I designed my project to hold either a Whitman's Chocolate Bar or maybe a little cash.  Here's a look at my project.

I cut my card stock down and scored it.  My cardstock was cut at 8 1/8 x 7 3/4.  I scored it on the 7 3/4" side at 5/8 & 7 1/8.  On the 8 1/8" side it was scored at 1 1/2, 2 1/8, 4 5/8, 5 1/4.  I then cut it so that I would have a side wall on both side and then rounded the top flaps corners.  I cut a piece of the From my Heart Speciality Designer Series paper to 6 x 2 1/2 and rounded the bottom corners to match the rounded corners of the chocolate/money wallet.  I then stamped the dotted heart in Real Red ink onto a scrap of Whisper white cardstock and punched it out with the matching punch from the Heart punch pack.  I inked my sentiment in Flirty Flamingo ink and cleaned off the red and blue and used my stampin' write markers in Real Red and Blueberry Bushel to ink them up before stamping them in the center of the heart.  I placed to dimensionals behind the punched out heart at the top and bottom to create a channel so the ribbon would move freely.  I decorated the outside with the Heart Epoxy Droplets that I colored with both Real Red Stampin' blends before adhering them down.  I ran about 28" of the Real Red Double stitched ribbon around the box and tied it in a bow to secure.  I then added the heart over it and secured the ribbon on the back with a mini glue dot, just for a little extra security.
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have been inspired a little.  If you need any of these supplies you can pick them up in my online store by clicking on the items in the shopping list below.  I will be kicking off my Treat Week 2020 tomorrow where I will be bringing you 7 super cute treat packing video tutorials all week long.  So I will have a new video for you each day this week so you will want to make sure you check back in each day to see what's happening.  I am just going to tell you that these projects are super cute and really easier than they look. They will also range in skill levels so there will be something for everyone.
