Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have another card using the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set for you. This card could have actually been done with just simple stamping but I decided to step it up just a little bit. Here's a look at the card.

I wanted the main focus of the card to be the large detailed Dahlias and the Fall color pallet. I added in a few of the leaves and some of the smaller flowers in the stamp set in the open spaces as well. For the color pallet I used Merry Merlot, Calypso Coral, Bumblebee, and Soft Succulent. I thought that this was a fun color combination that just embraced the feel of Fall.

As I was making this card it reminded me of the large spider mums that a lot of florists use during this time of year to make home coming corsages, and they also use them along with the Fall colored Dahlias in arrangements during this time of year.

I stamped the flowers starting with the Bumblebee one first; then I moved to the Calypso Coral and then the Merry Merlot. As you can see just these three images takes up a lot of the space on the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock used as the card front. I did have room to add in a few of the small floral images and some leaves.

Because this card lends towards the simpler side I wanted to add a little more interest to the card but wanted to do it in a subtle way. So, I pulled in the Stitched With Whimsy Dies to add this subtle interest and detail to the card. I love the stitched detail that these dies add to the card. I then stamped my sentiment in Merry Merlot on a scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock with the Label Me Lovely Punch. I actually punched it once and then aligned the punch out and punched again to make it smaller and fit the sentiment better. I then added it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I finished off the card with a few Genial Gems sprinkled around the card.
