Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am gong to share with you a project I used using the items that's part of my Crafty Corner Monthly Card Club this month. This month the club is featuring the Clever Cats Stamp Set. So, this is a bonus project for those that take the class or are club members. Here's a look at the project
This is a super simple project that's just purr-fect for getting ready for Halloween and trick-or-treaters. It takes very few supplies to make and it's based off of a candy bar wrap. All you need is a little designer series paper some candy and a strong adhesive.
I picked the Cute Halloween 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to use today to wrap these sweet little candy sticks. I cut the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper to 4" x 4 1/2" but it could have went just a little smaller so that it would have been just the slightest bit tighter. But, it all worked out in the end. If you use less candy you will want to make the sleeve smaller. Once I cut the designer series paper to size I wrapped it around the candy and secured it in place with some Stampin' Seal+. Because you are going to be giving these as treats you want to make sure to use a strong adhesive so that they do not come apart in Halloween bags or packaging.
The Clever Cats Stamp Set is the purr-fect set for your twitching hour projects including cards, treats for your tricks-or-treaters, and bags. Stamp set includes three mischievous felines that can be stamped peeking from a pumpkin, riding on a broom, or proving the long-held belief that if a cats fits, it sits. This stamp set includes solid pieces to layer colors on the pumpkin and box. Use the bats and spider images to create a fun Halloween scene that’s more cute than spooky. The spider web image can be stamped repeatedly to create shorter or longer webs. Mix and match the images with included cat-themed greetings to customize your projects. Or, if you don’t celebrate Halloween use this set to create projects for the cat-lovers in your life. These cats are so sweet they can be used all year long.
I stamped the cat that was inside the box in Basic Gray Ink on some Basic White Cardstock and then punched it out with the Essential Tag Punch. After punching out the tag I used my Blending Brushes and went around the edges with Highland Heather and Basic Gray Inks. I wanted the ink blending to look a little spooky to go along with the Halloween treat. Next I wrapped some of the Basic Black Glitter Organdy Ribbon around the treat and tied it into a bow. I then placed the tag and secured it in place with a little of the Black & White Twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack.
To tie the trim into place I punched a hole with a hand held hole punch at the top of the tag and ran it through. I then tied the twine around the ribbon. Next I stamped my sentiment in Pumpkin Pie Ink onto a scrap of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and punched the ends with the Detailed Trio Punch. As you can see I punched the ends twice with the corner rounder in this punch and then in the center with the decorative punch to add a little interest. I then placed the sentiment onto the tag with a Stampin' Dimensional. And that finished off my project.
