Hello and welcome to my blog; today is Sunday so that means it's time for a Simple Sunday project. This week I am sharing a card that I made using the New Sale-A-Bration set Counting Sheep!. Sure, you can count sheep when trying to sleep, but the lambs in the Counting Sheep Stamp Set want to party! These fun, frolicking farm animals are ready for birthday parties and other festive occasions. Of course, you can also pair these darling sheep with greetings of your choice to use them for any occasion. They are ready to jump right onto your projects!

The Counting Sheep Stamp Set contains 7 cling stamps with the fun line art images ready to color. The suggested clear blocks (which are sold separately) that fit the images and sentiments are Stampin' Up!'s Clear Blocks a, b, c, and d. Stampin' Up!'s Cling Stamps are made from premium rubber and have deeply etched images for excellent detail. All Cling Stamps are precut so you don’t have to trim them the way you used to have to do in the past. One of the best things about the the cling stamps is they actually cling to clear blocks without slipping (major accomplishment). They are repositionable—temporarily mount on clear blocks to stamp, then remove to store.

Tips & Tricks:

On my card today I stamped the images from the Counting Sheep Stamp Set in Crumb Cake Ink onto a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock. Then I used the inside cut pieces from each of the sheep images as a stamp to create the background. Once all my stamping was completed I took my White, Basic Black and Basic Gray Watercolor pencils and did some simple coloring on each sheep. Coloring on the Crumb Cake Cardstock makes the colors pop as long as they are not super bright colors (to make those pop is a whole other blog post). But, by adding some simple shading to the stamped images the coloring takes the project to a new level. I left some of the Crumb Cake Cardstock show through the coloring to add interest. You don't always have to color an image completely for it to stand out. This is a technique used a lot in story books.

After the coloring was complete I added the Crumb Cake panel to a Thick Basic White card base and stamped a few images of one of the sheep going up the right hand side of the inside of the card for a little extra detail. I then stamped the You're Amazing sentiment from the Counting Sheep Stamp Set onto a scrap of Crumb Cake Cardstock in Crumb Cake Ink and cut it off at an diagonal before placing it on the card with a few Stampin' Dimensionals. Adding the sentiment was the finishing touch to my Simple Sunday project for this week.

I have a few samples to share with you that were created by some of the wonderfully talented Concept Artists at Stampin' Up! showing how versatile this fun little stamp set actually is.
