Forever Fern Christmas Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today is two folds.  Today's post is for this week's Challenge at The Spot and day 8 of my 15 Days of Christmas.  This week's challenge at the Spot is a CASE the designer  challenge.  This week we are casing design team member Andrea Tracy-Tucker.

We each visited her blog and picked a project she designed and took inspiration from that project.  As I mentioned before this is also part of my 15 days of Christmas.  Each day I am sharing a new project and a new ordering special each day.
Here's the challenge image that is our inspiration for today's challenge. You can click on the image below to be taken to this week's challenge.

Here's the image from Andrea's blog that I took my inspiration.  You can click on the image below to view Andrea's blog post that I got this image from.

I used the same stamp set that Andrea did for my card today but I also added in a holiday sentiment on the inside with Itty Bitty Greeting.  I also used some of the same colors as her.  I used Merry Merlot for my card base and for my mat layer I used Daffodil Delight.  For my background layer I used a piece of Whisper White and ink blended the background with Merry Merlot and Daffodil Delight Ink.  To do the ink blending I used the new Blending Brushes coming out in the January-June Mini Catalog.

Instead of the embossed metallic cardstock that Andrea used on her card I picked to use a piece of Mint Macaron embossed with the same embossing folder.  I used the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder.  I then stamped some of the images from the Forever Fern stamp set onto a piece of Whisper White plus some additional images on extra Whisper White and cut them out using the matching dies.

I did add in an additional color ink to my  card with the Mint Macaron foliage.  I tooked one Merry Merlot and Mint Macaron foliage and tucked them behind the stitched square that I stamped the sentiment on.  I added the Daffodil Delight Foliage to the sentiment piece with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To finish off the card I added some of the Glitter Enamel Dots sprinkled around the card.  I also added a double bow made from the Gold Metallic Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack that I added to the card front with a Mini Glue Dot.  If you place a minimum of a $50 order in my Online Store today you will get a pack of Gold Enamel Glitter Dots FREE as a gift from me.
