Christmas Gleaming Treat Holder

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am back with another post for you today.  I just had to share with you this super cute and easy holiday treat holder.  It uses the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set, and a few other supplies from the Stampin' Up! Annual and August-December Mini Catalog.

I fully believe that handmade gifts and cards are so important this year more than ever with the pandemic.  With the Holidays being different this year it's more important than ever to share your handmade talents with others.  And I am here to help give you ideas, on cute simple things that you can share with others this Holiday Season.  If you are in with me this year to share a handmade Christmas with others please use the #CraftyHandmadeChristmas on your Social Media posts.
This is a super easy treat holder to create and is just what we all need this time of the year.  And holds a couple fun size Kit-Kat Bars (which if you must know is one of my favorite candies).  These don't take a lot of cardstock to make either which is another great thing so you can create a lot of them from a few sheets.

One threat holder uses a 2" x 11" piece of cardstock, and two 2" x 2" pieces; here I used Real Red for all my cardstock pieces.  You will also need a little Whisper White Scrap to created the stamped images and sentiment on the front and a little Designer Series Paper I used the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper on my project today.  My sentiment and stamped images came from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set which was a carry over from last years Holiday Catalog.  You will also need a tag topper punch to create the top I used the Delightful Tag Topper Punch on mine.  The treat holder is made with a couple score lines and that's really it.  Besides the little pieces of ribbon and a few Red Rhinestones as simple embellishments.

The cardstock is scored twice in the middle to make a 1" opening for your candy or treat.  The 2" x 2" piece is just scored at 1/2" on two sides and added to the treat holder sides with a strong adhesive.  You can use Stampin' Seal+, Tear & Tape, or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue today to hold my treat holder close because I had a little more wiggle room to make sure I had it all lined up.  I then stamped two of the ornaments from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set in Real Red and Old Olive Inks and colored them with my Real Red, Old Olive and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends.  I used the matching punches to punch them both out and add them to the treat holder.  The sentiment was stamped in Real Red and was cut out by hand with my Paper Snips.
