A Little Christmas Wish - Gnome for the Holidays - Rick's 15 Days of Christmas Day 2

Hello and welcome to my blog today I am sharing another card for my 15 Days of Christmas!  And I picked one of my favorite stamp sets today to play with and create a fun little Holiday card for you!

Gnome for the Holidays Stamp Set was one of the sets I had to have when I first saw it in the August-December Mini Catalog.  I just had to have it.  I knew that i would create a lot of cute fun little projects.  I have not used it alot so I had to pull it out to share Day 2's project with you!

Color Combination:

So, for my card today I pulled out one of my favorite color combinations for Christmas to use on my card today!  I picked Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz and little bit of Daffodil Delight for a super fun color combination!  If you like a traditional color combination for Christmas cards this is a great one for you to play around with. Three of the colors are also found in the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper from this years August-December Mini Catalog.

Once I knew the colors and stamp set that I was going to use for my card today It was just a matter of playing to create this festive little card for you today.  I started out with my card base!  I picked Mossy Meadow since it is a nice heavy natural color but still has a lot of warmth to it.  Then I moved to my Real Red layer.  I decided to do something a little different with this layer.  I ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder.  This gives a different look to the embossing but stills has a very festive look to it.

I then added a little of the Mossy Meadow Diagonal  Striped Ribbon to the front of the card before cutting a piece of Pear Pizzazz Cardstock with the tag from the North Pole Wonders Dies.  I stamped my sentiment on the side of the tag in matching Pear Pizzazz Ink.  I added this tag over the ribbon with a few Stampin' Dimensionals.  Next it was time to pull in my Stampin' Blends and do a little coloring.  I used the same colors that I had used throughout my card today to do the coloring with the addition of Ivory, Bronze (for her skin), Soft Suede (for her hair), and used Mossy Meadow, and Real Red (for her dress and hat).  I kept the color pretty simple and didn't do anything fancy.  I had a lot of texture going on with my card already with the embossing, ribbon, and the Square Vellum Doily.  So, I wanted to keep the coloring on the simple side.

Video Tutorial:
