Bonanza Buddies Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card I made before the retiring list came out but haven't gotten around to sharing with you just yet.  I thought I would go ahead and share it with you today.  I was very sad when I saw this set on the retiring list last week.  It's a fun set and perfect for birthday cards, and projects for kids.  And, kids at heart too.  Whimsical animals, confetti patterns, and detailed birthday images are the main features of the Bonanza Buddies Stamp Set. They are perfect for birthday cards, party favors, and all your birthday creations. This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set; it allows you to layer two or more images to create one final image with extra texture and dimension in the colors you want.  Here's a look at my card using this fun stamp set.

This fun little card is probably one of my favorites that I made using this stamp set, well next to my card for the may Creative Stampers Tutorial Bundle which features this Suite of Products.  I started my card by Stamping the lion which is done in a couple different parts by the way.  I stamped the head and body in Daffodil Delight Classic Ink and stamped the main in Mango Melody Classic Ink.  His little face was done in Tuxedo Black ink as well as the sentiment on the tag.  I have said it before this bundle is worth ordering just for the dies.  I love this stitched tag die!  Once I had the image stamped I used the matching dies and cut it out.  I then pieced him together.  I popped the head up in the main with a Stampin' Dimensional and glued everything together with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On the tag I added a strip of the designer series paper and a little banner made from the designer series paper.  By the way my tage was cut from a scrap of Bermuda Bay Cardstock.  I also added some of the Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon tied with a little Whisper White Solid Baker's twine to add a little extra to this simple card design.  Next I started layering everything together.  I used a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Terracotta Tile Cardstock to make a top folding card.  I added a piece of the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper to a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 piece of Grapefruit Grove Cardstock before layering it onto the card base.

When you use this designer series paper you will be inviting the party animals from the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper to your crafting bonanza. This high-quality printed paper is excellent scrapbook paper, card making paper, and more. Pack includes fun party and animal patterns. The patterns in this paper are very fun and whimsical so if you don't like fun this paper isn't for you.  You should just keep scrolling past it in my online store.  Now if you love a little whimsy in your projects this is a must have.

After layering up the outside I added a piece of whisper white cardstock to the inside with a strip of designer series paper to it to finish off my card.  I hope that you have enjoyed my card for today.  If you need any of the supplies you need to order them ASAP because most of the products are on the Last Chance List and selling quickly.  The items on the list are on a while supplies last basics.  The stamps are guaranteed to be in stock until May 22, 2020, but besides that it's get in where you fit in.  I will have everything listed below in the Stampin' Up! A Good Man - Global Video Hop April 2020

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my project for the April Global Video Hop.  This month our theme was Masculine projects, so I pulled out my A Good Man Stamp Set and created a card for you today.  I also will share the card I had done in another color scheme using the same design also.  But, I love the A Good Man Stamp Set and it's prefect for both Father's day, which by the way is just around the corner, birthday cards, retirement cards, and so much more.  Here's a look at my card.

A Good Man Stamp Set, Global Video Hop, Rick Adkins, Stampin' Up!

I started out my design today by picking the colors.  I already knew what the design was because I had already made one in a different color scheme.  So I picked Crumb Cake, Real Red, and Blackberry Bliss as my colors for my card for the hop.  And I love how they look together.  I wasn't sure at first but I am very happy with the outcome.

Dressed to Impress - Kindness Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my card using products from the Best Dressed Suite from the January - June Mini Catalog.  Some of the products in this suite are as of yesterday afternoon on the retiring list.  I will have another post later today sharing those lists with you so be watching for that. But I picked this card today for the sentiment.  I just love it and think that it's a perfect card to send to someone just to show a little kindness to. Everyone needs a little kindness and right now maybe more than ever.  Here's a look at today's card.

Dressed to Impress, Stampin' Up!, Rick Adkins

Tips & Tricks:

I started out by taking my 4 1/4 x 11 card base and scored and folded it in half at 5 1/2".  I picked the colors of the card from the designer series paper. My card base is in Petal Pink cardstock.  I then added the designer series paper to the card front it is cut at just 1/4" smaller than the card base so that there's a  nice mat around the card.  So it's cut at 4 x 5 1/4". Once the DSP was in place I used a 1/2" circle punch and notched out two little indentations at the top to tie my ribbon through.  This helps the ribbon from twisting and turning and helps it to lay flatter on the outside of the card.

Before tying the ribbon off I added one of the tassels to it and then tied it into a knot.  Now it was time to do a little stamping.  I stamped the sentiment in Petal Pink classic Ink onto a piece of whisper white cardstock and used one of the dies from the set to cut it out. I then stamped the flowers in tuxedo black onto that same piece of whisper white and then stamped the filler image in the stamp set with Petal Pink.  I used Highland Heather ink stamped off one time to get a lighter shade closer to the Purple Posy in the designer series paper.  I then used the matching dies and cut them out as well.  Both the sentiment and flowers where popped up on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To finish off the card prestation I added more of the matching designer series paper to the flap of the envelope.  Thanks for dropping by today I will see you later today with the retirement list.  I will be live on my YouTube channel around 11 CST with a live walkthrough of what's retiring and marking the catalog.  If you would like to join me grab a drink and a highlighter and your catalog.
