Dressed to Impress - Kindness Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my card using products from the Best Dressed Suite from the January - June Mini Catalog.  Some of the products in this suite are as of yesterday afternoon on the retiring list.  I will have another post later today sharing those lists with you so be watching for that. But I picked this card today for the sentiment.  I just love it and think that it's a perfect card to send to someone just to show a little kindness to. Everyone needs a little kindness and right now maybe more than ever.  Here's a look at today's card.

Tips & Tricks:

I started out by taking my 4 1/4 x 11 card base and scored and folded it in half at 5 1/2".  I picked the colors of the card from the designer series paper. My card base is in Petal Pink cardstock.  I then added the designer series paper to the card front it is cut at just 1/4" smaller than the card base so that there's a  nice mat around the card.  So it's cut at 4 x 5 1/4". Once the DSP was in place I used a 1/2" circle punch and notched out two little indentations at the top to tie my ribbon through.  This helps the ribbon from twisting and turning and helps it to lay flatter on the outside of the card.

Before tying the ribbon off I added one of the tassels to it and then tied it into a knot.  Now it was time to do a little stamping.  I stamped the sentiment in Petal Pink classic Ink onto a piece of whisper white cardstock and used one of the dies from the set to cut it out. I then stamped the flowers in tuxedo black onto that same piece of whisper white and then stamped the filler image in the stamp set with Petal Pink.  I used Highland Heather ink stamped off one time to get a lighter shade closer to the Purple Posy in the designer series paper.  I then used the matching dies and cut them out as well.  Both the sentiment and flowers where popped up on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To finish off the card prestation I added more of the matching designer series paper to the flap of the envelope.  Thanks for dropping by today I will see you later today with the retirement list.  I will be live on my YouTube channel around 11 CST with a live walkthrough of what's retiring and marking the catalog.  If you would like to join me grab a drink and a highlighter and your catalog.
