Blogging Friends July Blog Hop: Theme Summer Lovin'

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my card for this month's Blogging Friends Blog Hop.  This month our theme was Summer Lovin'; and I must confess that every time I say or type it I think of GREASE.  But, that's not where I went with this month's theme.  I went just a little different.  I came up with a super cute card that is just adorable.  I used my favorite new stamp set Over the Moon.  Yes, that was my one must have stamp set when we could order it.  I was so excited when it was on the preorder for demonstrators, because I was not able to order it when I got my catalog in April it wasn't part of the products we could order.  It gives me the same feeling as the Little Piggy set did.  And I am so happy to own them both.  Here's a look at my card and I will stop going on about it.

Tips & Tricks:

See I told you this was a super cute card.  I used the Love What You Do Stamp Set to stamp the cow skin pattern on the base of the card.  By the way the card base is a piece of Thick Whisper White cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2, and I turned it on it's side to make a side opening card.  I then took a piece of Whisper white and stamped the two cows in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in using my Stampin' Blends.  As far as what colors I used was Basic Black light and Smoky Slate dark to color in the cows spots.  I colored the mouth with Petal Pink light and dark blends, and their hooves with Smoky Slate light and dark.  For the cows bodies I used Balmy Blue light and dark on the one on the left and Purple posy on the one on the right. I used Granny Apple Green, and Flirty Flamingo for the flower and grass as well as the heart in the little speech bubble.  The sky was colored using Seaside Spray Light and dark and the color lifter.
I matted the colored piece on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and then used a little strip of basic black and versamark to stamp the sentiment.  I heat embossed the sentiment in White Embossing Powder, and popped it up using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  I popped the Cow image up on Stampin' Dimensionals also.
On the inside of the card I stamped the third cow in Tuxedo Black ink.  I like the use of just the outline image on the inside in juxtaposition to the colored outside.  I think this gives a fun contrast to the entire card.
Thanks for dropping by today.  If you need any of the supplies you have seen today you can pick them up in my online store.  If you are viewing this post on my Wordpress site you will need to click here to view the blog roll.

You're Off to Great Places Above the Clouds!

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card that I designed using the Above the Clouds Bundle form the 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  As you may know my current online class features the Above the Clouds bundle.  You can find details on that here.  This is a great companion card for that class.  Here's a look at my card.

I stamped the hot air balloons from the Above the Clouds Stamp Set in Night of Navy and Granny Apple green and then punched them out using the matching Hot Air Balloon Punch.  You can get both the punch and the stamp set as a Cost Saving Bundle and you save 10% when you do so.  I then used a piece of the 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper in Pretty Peacock as my background piece.  And, then matted it with a piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock.  All that was put on a Pretty Peacock Top folding Card base measuring 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/5 (A4 metric 10.5 cm x 29.7 cm scored in half).  I added a piece of whisper white on the inside with a little piece of matching designer series paper.
I then stamped my sentiment on a piece of scrap whisper white and angled the end on one side.  I stamped it in Granny Apple Green ink to match the rest of the card.  To add a little extra dimension I added a few Stampin' dimensionals behind it.
That finishes my card for today, I hope that you have a wonderful fourth of July if you are in the States, and a wonderful day if you are international.  Remember to stay safe and keep your eyes in the sky you just may see one of these fun Hot air balloons soaring over head.

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to talk to you about my Monthly card class.  I hold a card class each month which is either $15.00 or FREE with a qualifying order.  I decided last month to start offering that to my online customers as well.  Last month I didn't advertise this because I wanted to see how it would go and if it was a benefit to you, and to see that I could handle adding this in to my monthly schedule.  I am happy to say that I am NOW planning on making this a monthly offering to everyone.

This month I am going to feature the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp set and matching dies in my class.

Details:

You have two ways to get the materials for this class.
  • You can pay $15.00 and I will send you the Class kit.  The kit contains the supplies to make three cards and envelopes.  You will provide your own adhesive, stamp set, and ink.
  • Second Way to take this class:  Place a qualifying order of $25.00 (before shipping and taxes) using my host code for this month and earn the Magnolia Lane Kit for free.
I will start mailing out the card kits on or before July 19th.  When you purchase the class either way mentioned above I will pay the shipping costs to you.  Note that I can only offer this class to US residents only.  If you live outside the US I will also have a PDF tutorial available that you can purchase.

You can see a sneak peek of the cards we are making in the image above.  These cards are designed for all levels of crafters from beginners to advanced.  You will need the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set plus a few additional supplies to complete this class.  If you don't have or want to order the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set you can totally change stamp sets and use something you already have.
