Bird Ballad Suite 2019 Annual Catalog Sneak Peek Day 3

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you one of the Make & Takes we made at OnStage Local in Charlotte over the past weekend.  If you don't know what OnStage is well it's a Stampin' Up! Event for demonstrators where we get to see new products from the new catalog plus learn a few new things along the way.  These are great events and so much fun!  One because you get to see the new things but two because you get to see friends you've made along the way and meet new ones as well.
Today, I am going to share the card we made featuring the Bird Ballad Suite in the new catalog.  The new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog will not be live until June, but as a demonstrator you can order a full month before that, unless you attended OnStage event either Live or Local then you get to order two months before.  Which is a big perk to be able to get things and play with them before hand.  Here's a look at the card we made using products from this new suite.

The Bird Ballad Suite of products features a beautiful Free As A Bird Stamp Set, gorgeous designer series paper, and much much more.   On the make & take we used the new Stamp Set, Designer Series paper and the new Lace Ribbon.  I loved how easily the lace tied and made wonderful bows, I can see these products used for a wide range of cards from Weddings, to birthdays and so much more.  Here's a look at the stamp set.
The Free As a Bird stamp set is a cling mount set which features our classic red rubber, and have wonderful spring time images that are great for your favorite coloring media.  The line art is perfect and just begging to be colored.  The Bird Ballad designer Series paper in this suite was created by one of the artist at Stampin' Up!.  Who hand colored each image with our Stampin' Blends and then photographed each image.  Then the graphic Department designer used Photoshop and made into the fabulous designer series paper you see here.  This is a cool process and they have shared with us in the past a video how the designer series papers have been made.
The Bird Ballad Suite also features embellishments, a wonderful card tin with laser cut note cards, and the new stitched label dies.  I will share more on each product as the release of the new catalog gets closer.  If you are loving what you are seeing in this suite and can not wait to get it before June, you can join my Stampin' Family and add these products in your preorder in May as a new demonstrator and Kinsmon Crafter family member.
As you can tell this is a bright fun suite that will make your heart sing with excitement.  I can not wait to share more with you about this suite in the near future.  Again you will not be able to get these products until June unless you sign up and join my team of crafters.  You can see all the benefits of joining my team here
If you already know you have to have it all and your wish list is growing every day I encourage you to sign up and join just for the discount.  You don't have to blog, run a business, or even host events its all up to you.  All you have to do is join and enjoy the 20% discount on new and returning products.  Becoming a demonstrator was the best move I have ever made.  I have so many new crafty friends and never feel alone.  Not to mention I get to share what I love and Love what I do as I help others enjoy worthwhile accomplishments.  For this has truly made a difference in my life as well as others.
In closing I hope that you have enjoyed this little walk through of the Bird Ballad Suite of products and that you will take the time and consider joining my little crafty family.  Think of joining Stampin' Up! as a Costco or Sam's Club membership except you don't get the god awful picture id card but a discount on the wonderful products you must likely already love and use.
Happy Stamping

The Shelli Kit May 2019's Paper Pumpkin (OnStage Sneak Peek Week Day 2)

Welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a little sneak peek of the May Paper Pumpkin kit.  It is suitably named the Shelli Kit, because it was designed by Shelli Gardner Stampin' Up!'s co founder and board chair.  We got to get a little preview of this kit and got to create one of the cards that came in the kit this past weekend while at OnStage both Live and Local.

So this May, you’re in for a treat if you are a subscriber to Paper Pumpkin if not you can sign up here.   It's super exciting that Paper Pumpkin has teamed up with Shelli Gardner, Stampin’ Up!’s board chair and cofounder, to deliver you a very special Paper Pumpkin kit.  It’s exclusive, collectible, and one of a kind!  If you are a die-hard Paper Pumpkin or a Stampin’ Up! fan you'll not  want to miss this special edition.
The look and feel of this kit is all Shelli.  It’s elegant, feminine, and so full of springtime details that you’ll probably just want to take a walk, breathe in the fresh air, and then go home and stamp every card in the kit.  And the box it comes in?  I predict that you’ll be keeping it . . . like . . . forever. Wait and see.

Hugs from Shelli:

If you are New to Paper Pumpkin:

The “Shelli” kit is perfect for a new subscribers or stampers.  It will arrive in a one-of-a-kind box with a beautiful vintage design, and it provides a fun and easy papercrafting experience.  It will also help a new subscriber/stampers connect instantly to the Paper Pumpkin and Stampin’ Up! community because everyone will be talking about it. So if you would like to be a  new subscriber you won’t want to miss this especially fun kit because everyone will be getting one in May.
This kit is also perfect for Stampin’ Up! customers who are new to Paper Pumpkin.  Most of our regular customers know and love Shelli, so how could you resist not becoming a subscriber when knowing that the May kit was inspired by her?  If you are not a subscriber to Paper Pumpkin this is one of the most collectible kits ever.  So I am sure you would like to see a little sneak peek of the card that we made from this kit while at OnStage Local in Charlotte.
This is a super cute card!  I love how the nest was preprinted on the note card.  This is always a great thing about Paper Pumpkin.  It makes crafting fun and easy.  Everything came in our little kit.  The little flowers are popped up using mini dimensionals.  All we had to do was stamp the sentiment and place everything.  The hardest thing to me was getting the cottonish ribbon to lay just right.  My hands were a little to big to do the finger trick where you wrap it around the fingers.  There wasn't enough with the three fingers but when I used 2 it was way to small to fit behind the sentiment.  The cruse of Fat Fingers.  I just kind of made loops and secured it with dimensionals.
So the only way you are going to get this kit is by signing up for a subscription if you don't have one already.  Sign up before May 10th to secure your kit.  I predict that this kit will be a sale out.  It's super super cute and very pretty.  And, the best part it was super easy to put this card from the kit together; minus my fat finger incident with the ribbon.  I hope that you have enjoyed this little sneak peek.  Remember if you would like to become a subscriber I would love to have you.  You can click here to subscribe.

My Storage by Stampin' Up! Setup What It Did To My Desk & my Attitude. Sneak Peek Week!

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my first product from the new 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog which is also my new storage solution for my desk. Yes, I said storage solution and it came from Stampin' Up!. Which makes it even better.  Did you even know that we now have a storage solution for ink pads, stampin' write markers and more.  I am sure you know the answer to that question.  Storage By Stampin' Up! will be in the new catalog in June, but was released early so that everyone could start getting a little more organized.  I am going to share with you what I did with what I purchased.

I have never gotten this many large boxes from Stampin' Up!, so it was fun to see what was inside.  Each item in the storage system comes in it's own box and wrapped with foam and plastic so it's nice and protected.  But, I am sure you want to see what my desk looked like before hand.  Most of you know if you watch my videos I always talk about how I need to clean it.  Well here's a little picture.

Video Tutorial:

If you are viewing this post by email you may have to click here to view the video.

Tips & Tricks:

After getting my storage and getting it set up these are a few things that I decided to do and somethings that I noticed.  But, before we get into that; here's how I created mine.  As I mentioned in the video there is a configuration sheet you can download that here.  This document will help you figure out how many pieces you will need.
  • I Figured out since I have replaced my old style ink pads (besides the retiring 2017-2019 In Colors) I knew I had to order 10 of the ink pad and marker holders.  This way I could place all the color families together.  I prefer to place my ink pads in color family order because I can see whats in that family super easily.  I have tried rainbow order this year and I had a hard time putting them back in order sometimes.  Some reasons included being in a hurry and then just putting them in any open slot.  Or not taking to time to place them where they needed to go because I didn't want to because I found it hard to remember where they went.
  • To accommodate my Stampin' Blends (and yes I have all of them that are currently out) I had to purchase five.  This way I could split them into groups of three and have the correct numbers below each color family.  Each individual blend holder holds six so a set of five will hold 30 blends.  Knowing this made it really easy to figure out what I needed.  By the way another little sneak peek that I am slipping in for you today.  There will be six new Stampin' Blends in the new catalog.
  • I believe that they are So Saffron, Pretty Peacock, Purple Posy, Gray Granite, Rococo Rose, & Seaside Spray, (but don't hold me to the names just yet I am learning them I m pretty sure that the names are correct).
  • Okay so back to the storage.  At the top of each set I used the Storage Topper to hold my Ink Refills.  These are also great to hold adhesive, small blocks and more.
  • For my other ink pads like Stazon, Memento, and my ink pads that I didn't upgrade.  I used the open storage cubes with the Storage Lid to to close the top one off.
  •  Okay to answer you question before you even ask no they don't really fit in the ink pad storage.   The Stazon and Memento and Versamark do not fit at all.
  • The old still pads will fit but it is not recommended because they lift the ink pad tray up the tiniest little bit and if you stack all of them in this manner your storage unit will be extremely unstable.
  • The Storage Lid on the top is perfect to place a pencil holder or some other type of container on top or you could place some decorative element.  I used a colorful little tin bin that I picked up at Dollar Tree to hold my spritzers, blending brushes, scissors, and my watercolor brushes.
  • The Storage Cube is also perfect to hold our punches.  So if you want Punch storage these will be great for you.  Sadly the Storage Cube isn't available currently due to the high sales volume, but will be back in stock soon.
  • The great thing about the Storage by Stampin' Up! is they are completely customizeable  I can add to and move everything around to fit my needs and so can you.
  • They are also budget friendly.  You can purchase what you need when you need it.  So if you only have a few of the new style ink pads you can start there and add to them as you grow.
Thanks for dropping in today, I hope that you have enjoyed my little sneak peek today as well as my walk through of the new Storage by Stampin' Up! that's in the upcoming 2019-2020 Catalog.

Say you want a catalog well I will send you one for free when you make a purchase from me this month. I will start sending out the new catalogs in mid May.  So everyone that has ordered from me in the last six month's will get one as a gift from me.
If you haven't placed an order with me but would like a new catalog you can get one two ways.
  • One Place a order with me in my online store.
  • Two send me a message and I will send you a PayPal Invoice for $6.00 to cover the shipping of the catalog.
I have to purchase my catalogs and pay for shipping them, so when you order from me this helps to cover those costs,  So if you have a demonstrator you work with regularly please contact them to order a catalog.  If you are a demonstrator your complimentary catalog will be send in your preorder before May 12 after that it will be mailed to you.  IF you don't have some one you work with I would be happy to take care of you.

OSAT Blog Hop Spring Fling

Hello and welcome to this month's One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop.  This month's theme is Spring Fling.  I know that everyone has created some great projects with this month's theme.  I have a super cute set of projects for you today.

For my projects this month I used the Fable Friends Stamp Set.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets from the 2019 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.  This set features some fun story book like charter; as well as sentiments for both Easter and Spring.  Here's a look at my projects.
I used the geese image from the stamp set for both my card and dimensional project.  For my card I used the Mother goose and the little goslings.  For the dimensional project I used just the babies.  Again I just adore this set the images are all so cute and adorable.

The Card:

I started this month's projects by creating the card.  I knew that I wanted to use that stamp set and I knew that I wanted to do something with coloring.  So I settled on the goose and gosling images and I used my watercolor pencils to color in the images.  Once I had everything colored in I used a blender pen to soften the pigment.  I then cut down the image and matted it with a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock.  I used a piece of So Saffron cardstock (5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4) as my card base.  I added a piece of the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper in Daffodil Delight between the card base and the matted image.

Dimensional Project:

For my dimensional project I used one of the sweet cups from the Occasions Catalog, and hand painted the base of the cup to match the card.  and then stamped the goslings going around the entire thing once dried.  Next I painted in each little goose to match my card.  I used acrylic paint from Arteza to do this.  Once everything was dried it was time to decorate the top of the cup.  I used two strips of the matching designer series paper as the card and attached it around.  I then used daffodil delight cardstock to cover the top of the cup and the handle.
I then used the daisy punch and punched out four daisies from the Gingham Gala designer series paper and attached each with a mini glue dot and a stampin' dimensional.  I added a clear faceted gem to the center of the cluster.  I then punched out a few leaves using the leaf punch and some scraps of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock.  I added two bows to the handle.  I used the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre ribbon for this.
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have a wonderful day and that you have enjoyed my projects.  If you need any of the supplies you can order them in my online store.  I hope that you have fun hopping along today; I know that everyone have created wonderful projects for you today.   If you are viewing this post via my wordpress site you will have to click here to view the blog roll.
