Rick's Saturday Simple Stamping Episode 17: Lasting Lilly Sympathy Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my card for this weeks Simple Saturday Stamping.  Today, I am going to show you how to create a quick and easy Sympathy card.  I know that this is not the reason we want to make cards but sometimes we have to have them on hand to send out.  And, wouldn't it make a person feel a little better when they get a handmade card from you.  Here's a look at my card.

This is really not a hard card to create like the rest of our simple stamping cards, they are designed to teach card making to someone just getting started, or who has been thinking about getting started in this fun creative craft that will change your life.  Most of these simple stamped cards only use stamps ink and paper.  I try to share with you easy designs that you can totally recreate without a problem.  Check out the how to video tutorial here for today's card.

I think that this is a nice card that would make the person that got it smile on such a bad occasion.  I like the Lasting Lilly stamp set for Sympathy cards.  It has the perfect sentiments for these types of situations.  The Lasting Lilly set can only be earned for FREE during Saleabration.  And, there is only nine more days left of Saleabration.  Lasting Lily is a second level Saleabration item which means to earn it for free you have to spend a $100 in my online store before shipping and taxes.  Which we all know isn't really that hard to do some days.

My card base is a piece of Flirty Flamingo cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2, and a piece of Petal Pink 4 x 5 1/4 .  My stamped layer is 3 3/4 x 5.  You will find a full list below in the shopping list.  For the inside I just added a piece of whisper white and stamped the lily a couple times.
Thanks for dropping by I hope that you have enjoyed this weeks Simple Saturday Card.  You can order all the supplies in my online store 24/7.

Welcome to the Team Card & the Dirty Little Secret of Joining!

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the card that I made to send out to new team members.  Or family member is how I like to refer to them.  This is a very quick and easy card to do and you could totally change it sentiment and have a totally new card with this simple design.  Here's a look at my cards for my new team members.

This is a super easy design to do and a great way to use up that designer series paper.  Here I picked the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper (I am like in love with this paper) to showcase.  I used the Stamping Your Way to the Top Stamp Set that was designed for demonstrators.  And, was perfect for cards to welcome new family members in.
Now is the perfect time to join the Stampin' Up! family.  Think of becoming a demonstrator as buying a membership to Costco or Sam's Club, with one big exception you actually get something for your membership fee besides a god awful membership card with a worse picture than your driver licences.
Especially with eight days of Saleabration left.  That means there's only eight days to take advantage of the best sign up special ever.
For the next eight days you have two options of membership.  Option one is a $175 worth of Stampin' Up! product of your choice for only $99.  Option two is $175 worth of product and this fabulous tote bag (a $50 value) for $129.  Not only do you get that with your membership but for every order you place after signing up and joining my stampin' family you get at least a 20% discount on all orders.  Now who doesn't love a deal like that, and it doesn't even stop there.  There's so much more to being part of the family, than just the discount.  When you become a demonstrator you get to attend special Stampin' Up! events, a quarterly magazine filled with business tips, and card ideas, just to name a few.  I haven't even mentioned that you get to become a part of my super wonderful stampin' family the Kinsmon Crafters.  You can read more about the benefits here.  You can also find information to and answers to the most frequently asked questions right here.

I would love to have you join my Stampin' Family and become a Kinsmon Crafter.  I have a small team that are all around the country.  I have monthly meetings online in our private Facebook Group.  And you will get one of these cards in the mail too.  I totally would take advantage of this wonderful joining special will be join in eight short days.

Thanks for dropping bye I look forward to you joining my little family of creatives.

Hello Cupcake Stacked full of Goodness

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card that I made using the Hello Cupcake Stamp Set which you can earn for free with a $50.00 order for another 10 days.  That's right Saleabration is almost over!  I know sad face right; So if you want to take advantage of this promotion now is the time to do so I am just saying.  Here's a look at my card.

Like I said I used the Hello Cupcake stamp set.  Which is a great set with the fun cute cupcake and coordinating images.  I actually designed this card before the coordinating framelits for Saleabration Coordination came out and have since sold out.  I cut each layer out by hand.  Yes, you just read that correct I actually did fussy cut each and every piece.  Here's a few cards that Stampin' Up! designed for the Saleabration Brochure.

Actually I only had to cut the top there layers of icing and the little heart pick.  After that I had stamped the cupcake bottom and cake on the whisper white (3 3/4 x 5) card front layer.  After the stamping of the bottom layer I added the icing each layer at a time with a little multipurpose liquid glue.  I find this adhesive the best for this type of card because you have a little wiggle room to make sure everything lines up perfectly.

For the inside of the card I stamped the sprinkles from the stamp set in the same colors that I used for the card.  Pineapple Punch, Flirty Flamingo, Merry Merlot, and Gorgeous Grape.  This is actually a color combination that you wouldn't think about, but looks really good together.

I matted the card front on a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock (4 x 5 1/4).  My card base is a piece of 4 1/4 x 11 Gorgeous Grape that I scored at 5 1/2.  I stamped the little heart pick in Flirty Flamingo and cut it out to put in the top layer of icing.  I attached that with a mini glue dot.  at the bottom of the cupcake on the stamp is a shadow.  Well, with the stack I needed the shadow to extend a little more so I used my wink of stella brush pen to pull the ink out a little more.

To finish off the card I stamped my sentiment in Gorgeous Grape beside the cupcake.  I just love this card; it just makes me happy.  I think that the person that gets this card will just love it.  And my hope is that when the recipient opens the envelope this little card will put a smile on their face.  Here's a final look at my card.
