My Meadow Happy Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am sharing with you a card I made this week using the My Meadow Stamp Set.  I can not believe that I've not played with this stamp set since I got it back in November at Centerstage.  I think I was a little intimidated by it.  I thought it would be a little harder to create with than it really was.  But it was quite easy.  Here's a look at today's card.

All I used for this card was the stamp set, a little ink, and a little cardstock.  I know right!  Can you believe that this was created with just stamps ink and paper.  I started out by stamping the gazebo in Soft Suede Classic Ink where I wanted it to be.  Then I added the ground in Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink.  I stamped it a couple times and decided where it overlapped looked likes little hills.

Next I stamped the set of tree trunks in the background first.  Then I stamped the larger tree trunk in the stamp set in the foreground.  All the tree trucks were all stamped in Soft Suede Classic Ink.  I then added the leaves with a combination of first and second generation stamping in Garden Green Classic Ink on to of the trunks.  I then stamped the water with Coastal Cabana Classic Ink in the foreground.  I justed used one stamp to create the water.  I just flipped it around to fit into the each area.

To finish off the card I added the stamped background to a Pear Pizzazz mat and stamped the sentiment onto a Pear Pizzazz piece and made a fishtail banner.  I popped the sentiment up on Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added the completed matted card front to a Garden Green card base.  And that finished the card.  Thanks for dropping by today if you need any of the supplies you have seen today you can pick them up in my online store by clicking on the items in the shopping list below.

Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set:

The Celebrate Sunflower (New in the 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog: will allow you to honor and celebrate friendships with heartfelt sentiments and a stunning set of sunflower images.  The stamp set features wonderful line art sunflowers and leaves that are perfect to color with your favorite coloring media.   The large sunflower image is great for a card front as well as elements on your cards.  I featured it today on my note card.

This is a cling mount stamp set so it will stay in place on your block no matter what you are using it for.  There are eight stamps in the set four of which are line art images.  You have the large sunflower, which is one of my favorites, a smaller sunflower image with leaves attached, and two sets of different size leaves.  Along with some great mixed font sentiments.  The deeply etched images will give you excellent detail as you can see with my little note card today.

Note Cards Perfect for Any Reason:

I used the large sunflower to stamp all over my note card in Daffodil Delight Classic Ink.  I stamped it in a triangular pattern to add visual interest to the note card.  I then added the large leaf image stamped in Old Olive Classic Ink to fill in some of the white space on the note card.  This is a perfect example of some simple stamping.  Anyone could create this not card, from beginning crafters to someone that has been doing it for years that just needs to make a bunch of cards quick.

I love to make note cards for some occasions because they are the perfect size to be tucked into someone’s lunch, bag, or anywhere.  Plus, they come in a pack of 20 with envelopes so you have plenty to work with.  Another great thing about them is they are ready for you to make and send, no cutting needed if you do not want to add any additional layers.  I only added one additional layer to my note card today.  I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Daffodil Delight Cardstock after stamping the sunflower image on it.  First, I stamped the sunflower off before stamping on the 1 1/16th x 2 ¾” piece of Daffodil Delight Cardstock.  Next, I stamped the sentiment in Old Olive Classic Ink and cut a fishtail banner on one end.  I added it to the note card with a couple Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish off my note card I did stamp the large sunflower on the front of the envelope to have a matching presentation to the recipient.  I also stamped it on one corner of the flap.

Hoot Hoot Hooray Simple Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; I have a super simple birthday card for you today using the Hoot Hoot Hooray Stamp Set from the Beginners Brochure (or the Experience Creativity Brochure).  I designed this card with the beginning crafter in mind.  I did do a little die cutting and a little coloring with my Stampin' Blends but it's still really a card for someone that's just starting out.  Here's a look at today's card.

Hoot Hoot Hooray Stamp Set, #simplestamping, 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper, Purple Tricolor Ribbon, Rick Adkins, Stampin' Up!

I started out my card for today by stamping the cupcake image with Tuxedo Black ink and I set it aside and let the ink dry a little while before coloring.  While the ink was drying I added a piece of 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper that I cut down to 4" x 5 1/4" and added it to a piece of Whisper White that I cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  Before adding the matted designer series paper to my Purple Posy Card Base I added the Purple 3/8" Tricolor Ribbon.

After this time it was time to start coloring.  I used the following colors; Purple Posy Light & Dark, Flirty Flamingo Light & Dark, Blackberry Bliss Light & Dark and Smoky Slate Light and Dark.  I just did real simple coloring not a lot of blending just added a little dark around the edges and then filled in the rest with the lighter color.  I then used the Stitched Shapes Dies and used the largest Stitched Circle die and cut out the cupcakes.   I used a large scalloped die from the Layering Circles Dies and cut out a large scallop circles from Flirty Flamingo.  I layered the two together with a little Snail Adhesive and then pupped up it over the ribbon with Dimensionals.

To finish off my card I tied a bow using the Purple 3/8 Tricolor Ribbon and attached it to the card front with a mini glue dot.  I then added a few of the Purple Posy Faceted Dots to the stitched circle.  And that is all it took to make today's simple birthday card.  Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have a wonderful safe weekend and maybe do a little crafting.
