Happy Birthday - Island Vibes ~ Rick Adkins

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a birthday card with a warm tropical feel to it. I used the Island Vibes Stamp Set and the Celebrating You Stamp Set to create today's card. Here's a look at the card.

Wish someone a warm tropical Happy Birthday with this card made using the Island Vibes Stamp Set. Free during Sale-A-Bration 2022 during Jan. - Feb.

Island Tropic Birthday:

To create the front of the card I used the banana leaves from the Islands Vibes Stamp Set. I stamped it multiple times around the bottom of the card to create different values of Garden Green Ink. Some I stamped once then without reinking the image stamped it again to create the lighter shade.

The overlapping leaves created a darker shade of Garden Green leaves. I added the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Celebrating You Stamp Set in the top right-hand corner in So Saffron Classic Ink.

Pineapple Appeal:

I inked up the pineapple in both So Saffron and Garden Green Classic Inks. I inked up the bottom of the pineapple first in So Saffron Classic Ink and then inked up the top in Garden Green Classic Ink. I then used my Paper Snips and cut it out. Next, I took the fussy cut pineapple and popped it up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Dress Up the Inside:

To dress up the inside I cut another panel of Basic White Cardstock and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment but reversed the color to Garden Green Classic Ink. I then stamped the same banana leaves but this time I stamped them in Garden Green Classic Ink and then So Saffron Classic Ink.

Finishing Touches:

To finish off the card I attached both the inside and outside panels to a card base made from Garden Green Cardstock. I cut the base to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". I wanted the pineapple and leaves to be the stand out on this card so I kept it as simple as possible.
