Fun Ornament Shaped Card - Snowbody Better ~ Rick Adkins

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a fun shaped card just in time for Christmas crafting and cardmaking. I have a fun not so little ornament shaped card using the Snowbody Better Stamp Set from the 2021 July-December Mini Catalog.

It may be getting cold and frosty outside, but the jovial group of snowmen in this Snowbody Better Stamp Set and this fun Ornament shaped card design will send nothing but warm wishes.

Tips & Tricks:

Really this was not that hard of a card to create. If you have large circle dies you could easily do it by cutting everything below the score line. But I don't have large circle dies and really not ones that cut a circle this big. But, I do have a electric cutting machine. So, I used the Cricut and cut out the card base and the layering circles for the front and insides of the card. The card base was not as hard as you may think. I simply made two circles the same size in the design space and cut out everything.

To make the card stand I cut off a little bit of the bottom to make a flat edge in my Paper Trimmer. I stamped the snowmen from the Snowbody Better Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with pencils from both sets of my Watercolor Pencils using them just as colored pencils. I stamped my sentiment and some snowflakes around the outside of the card in Pacific Point Classic Ink.

I layered the Basic White Cardstock circle onto a Balmy Blue Cardstock circle cut out just a 1/4" bigger. I adhered everything together with a piece of Pacific Point Cardstock scrap that I scored in the middle and attached to the inside of both circles with Stampin' Seal+. This created the hinge that allows the card to open and close.

On the inside of the card I added another Balmy Blue & Basic White Circles. I stamped my inside sentiment and a few more snowflakes. To hind the hinge I added a ornament topper made from a piece of Gold glimmer paper from the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper to the front. Which finished off my card.
