Bookmark Card Card - Pretty Pumpkins

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the card that I made during my YouTube Live.  This is really an easy card that is great because you give a card and a little gift to the person as well.  Here's a look at the card I made.

Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set:

For my card today I used the Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set.  The Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set allows you to create pretty autumn projects like today's card. The set features pumpkins, vines, and leaves images that are designed to be stamped and layered to create a vignette. The vines are mirror images so you can stamp a long or short line of pumpkins and bookend them with the vines. Use your favorite coloring technique to fill in the open line-art pumpkins. Another idea for you to try on the pumpkin image with leaves and grasses, try the marker-to-stamp technique to create a multicolored pumpkin. The possibilities are endless.

As I mentioned in the intro of this post this card is not only a card but also holds a bookmark for the recipients to use afterwards.  And, surprisingly it's super easy to create.  You will see what I mean in the video tutorial.  I started off my card by finding the supplies that I planned on using.  Which wasn't hard I wanted this project to feature the products that I designed my September Bundle Class with.  So, everyone that takes that class will be able to recreate this card with the supplies from their kits.

I stamped the pumpkin onto a 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece of Basic White.  The size of the square that you are stamping on will determine the size of the mat that you will need for your bookmark.  Once you figure out the size of the mat then it's easy to figure out the size cardstock you need to make the base of the bookmark.  Since our stamped piece is 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and our mat for the that layer would be 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" we will need a piece of cardstock cut at 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" to make the mat and base of the bookmark.  Basically you are going to double the mat layer and then cut it in half.  The video will explain it better for you.

Video Tutorial:

Once you have everything cut out and put together as you have seen in the video it really isn't as hard as you think.  And once you are done you have a card and a fun bookmark that you can send to someone.  As you can see here it just slips over the corner of your book to hold your place.
