Simple but Impressive Hello Card - Heat Embossed Background

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a cute little clean and simple card for you using left over pieces from a card I shared earlier in the week.  I love how this card turned out and love that it was really easy to create.  I used the Butterfly Brilliance and the Blossoms & Blooms Stamp Sets to finish off the card.  Here's a look at the card.

Using Left Overs:

The focal point of my card today was a left over piece of my Double Embossed card front from the other day.  This was a piece that I cut off from the 6" x 6" embossed piece.  If you missed that post you can click here to check out that card.  Any way I took what was left over from that card and cut it down to 2" x 5 1/2" and matted it with some Granny Apple Green and Magenta Madness Cardstocks.

The ink blended butterfly was also left over from another project, actually the same project as the other piece.  The Butterfly was colored by ink blending Polished Pink and Magenta Madness Inks onto the wings with a Blending Brush and Granny Apple Green Ink was applied to the body of the butterfly with a small blending brush that was in my stash.

I added everything to an  A2 size top folding Basic White note card made from Basic White Cardstock.  And I just stamped a simple hello from the the Blossoms & Blooms Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink to finish this clean and simple little card off.  Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have a wonderful week and that you will give the Double Embossing Technique a try and find a way to use up some of those left over pieces in your stash.  If you are not on my email list make sure you sign up today to get the latest updates on my classes and events.  If you need any of the supplies that you have seen today you can pick them up in my online store by clicking on the item in the Stampin' Up!
