Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a super cute card for you that I made during my YouTube Live yesterday! I used scraps of designer series paper to create this simple but stunning background and the Hey Chick Stamp Set for my card. Here's a look at my project.
For my card today I used the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper to create the background. This is a great way to use up scraps of your designer series paper! And come on if you are a card making or papercrafter we all know you have some. More than likely if you are like the rest of use you have a lot of little pieces that can be cut down to make this simple stunning background.
Tips & Tricks:
The first thing to do is gather your scraps of designer series paper. Here I used scraps of the Sale-A-Bration Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper. I pulled some of all the patterns that I had and cut them down for this card to 1" x 4". I started in the center and attached each strip with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I find the Liquid Glue great for this because it allows me to move each strip around a little to get it just in the right spot.
After all the designer series paper was attached I just simply, which by the way I attached right to my card base, I wrapped some of the Polka Dotted Tullie around the card and tied it into a bow. Next I added the focal image which I stamped on a piece of Basic White Cardstock and cut out with one of the scalloped stitched rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I used my Stampin' Blends to simply color the image. I then popped it up on Stampin' Dimensionals over the ribbon.

To finish off the card I added a sentiment that I stamped on another scrap of the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper and popped it up on a couple Stampin' Dimensionals. I also added a few Opal Rounds to the front of the card for a little bling.
