You're the Best - Darling Donkeys SAB Stamp Set

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a new card featuring the Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set Darling Donkeys.  If you are not familiar with Sale-a-bration; it's the biggest time of the year at Stampin' Up!, because you get rewarded with free Sale-a-bration items with your qualifying purchases.  Here's a look at the card that I made using Darling Donkeys.

I think that the Darling Donkeys Stamp Set is a super cute and fun stamp set.  And I am super excited that it's one of this year's Sale-A-Bration offerings.  It's a cling set with three different sweet looking donkeys that will make anyone smile and four sentiments.  It also has a little starburst image in the set that's perfect to stamp on the background of projects.

I also used another Sale-A-Bration item on my card today.  I used the Flower & Fields Designer Series Paper as well.  Its fun colorful and bold touches of Basic Black play up the fun expression on the donkeys.  Plus it adds a pop of color to the card.  I pulled the colors for my card today from this pack of Designer Series Paper.  I think this pack will be a big hit with everyone.  I know I am having fun playing with it so far and finding many more uses for it than I had thought when I saw it in the Sale-a-bration Brochure.  Now I am super happy that I got it.

After picking the pattern of the DSP I wanted to use with this sweet little guy it was so easy to pull the rest of my card together.  I decided to keep with a more subtle color scheme with Just Jade, Basic Black, and a little White.  I colored the sitting donkey with my Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends and kept the coloring really simple.  I stamped the sentiment in Just Jade Ink at the top of the stitched square that was cut from White Cardstock using the Stitched Shapes Dies.

For the card that I made on the video tutorial, I decided to showcase the reverse side of the same piece of Flower & Fields Designer Series Paper.  Just this one simple change changes the look and feels of the card.  Even with the Just Jade Ribbon, it has much more of a masculine feel to the card.  I love how Stampin' Up! will have one design on one side of the Designer Series Paper and on the other side, it's a more geometric pattern that can go either way.
