Fall Harvest Gnome Card

I am in the Fall spirit today!  I wanted to share with you a card I made a few months ago using the Gnome for the Holiday and Banner Year Stamp Sets.  Did you know you can change up the way the gnomes look with a few simple steps?  Well I will show you how to take one of the Christmas Gnomes from this stamp set and make it into a Fall Card.

Yes, you can totally create a Fall themed card with the Gnome for the Holiday Stamp Set with a few simple steps.  All it takes is a little patience, a little masking, and a little Stampin' Blends Coloring.

Tips & Tricks:

It really did not take me very long to change this cute little Gnome from the Gnome from the Holiday Stamp Set into a Fall card.  It's all in how you color him, what products you use, and a little tricky masking. Yes, that's all it took to take this little guy into the realm of Fall.  For example I used the Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper as the backdrop for my card.

Just because it's from the Halloween suite doesn't mean you can not use it for other things as well.  I mean the Cajun Craze pattern on this piece was just begging to be used.

Before starting out I masked off the little mistletoe on his hat and the ornament in his hand on the Gnomes before stamping him in Tuxedo Black Ink onto my piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock.  This allowed me the opportunity to come back in with the acorn and pumpkin from the Banner Year Stamp Set and add what I wanted to his hand and hat.  I colored him in matching colors from the designer series paper as well.  I used Cajun Craze, Basic Black, and Pretty Peacock as the main colors.  But I did add in a little Gray Granite to his beard.  Because white objects always have some color in the shadows.  Here's the fun little stamp set if you missed it in the August-December Mini Catalog.

I then used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut him out and a the Layering Circles Dies to cut out the scalloped circle that I placed behind him.  Next I just placed the die cut pieces over a embossed layer of Basic Black Cardstock that I matted to a piece of Pretty Peacock.  You can use any embossing folder that you would like for the embossing I used the Cobweb 3D Embossing Folder because I had thought I may use this as a Halloween card but left the sentiment off so that I could use it all during the Fall Season.
