A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - A Kit In Color

Hello and welcome to my blog: It's time for this month's A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop.  This month's kit focused on the new 2020-2022 In Colors and Purple Posy.  It was a great kit filled with rainbows and great big sentiments.  So I had to come up with a couple alternative projects for you, and here's a look at what I came up with.

Let's Look at the Card:

For my Card project I used the stamp set to create the rainbow.  I used some classic ink and a few stampin' write markers to get all the colors.  I started out by cutting a stitched oval from some Whisper White Cardstock and stamped the first layer of the rainbow in Melon Mambo Classic Ink.  Next I stamped the second image in the stamp set and stamped in Daffodil Delight.  The last bow of the rainbow was stamped in Misty Moonlight, which came in this month's kit.

Now it was time to come back and add in the rest of the colors.  I used a few Stampin' Write Markers to do this.  I took my Mango Melody Stampin' Write Marker and draw between the Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight bows.  Then I repeated the process until I had the rainbow filled with color.  Some of the bows had to be gone over a couple times to get the right shade, but that was okay.  It didn't take long at all to complete.

The Gift Bag:

My 3D project this month is a super cute little gift bag that I designed.  I used some Just Jade Cardstock for the base of the box and decorated it with one of the cards from this month's kit.   The finished box measures 3 x 3 x 1" and I used the large cloud die cut for the sentiment.  I stamped the Hey from this month's stamp set in Misty Moonlight Classic Ink (which was this months Stampin' Spot Ink Color) in the center.  I added a bow made from the baker's twine in the kit and added a few of the stickers.  I finished the box off by adding some of the tissue paper that was inside this month's box.
