Autism Awareness Love You to Pieces Card - Video Tutorial

Hello and welcome to my blog; today is the first day of April and it's also Autism Awareness Month and tomorrow is Autism Awareness Day.  So I wanted to share a card with you that shows support that you may recreate to support someone you may know with Autism.  I used some cardstock scraps, a few dies and the Love You To Pieces Stamp Set to Create my card.  Speaking of which here's a look at my card.

Tips & Tricks:

I started out by taking scraps of the following cardstock; Poppy Parade, Pineapple Punch, Balmy Blue, and Pacific Point and cutting all of them with the Puzzle Pieces Dies.  I then took a piece of Grid Paper and cut it down to just a little larger than 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 and covered it in Snail Adhesive.  You could also use a piece of the Small Grid Paper that's for the Stamparatus.  I then began putting the cardstock puzzle pieces together alternating the colors.  Just a little note that all the pieces didn't fit exactly so I made them all work for where I wanted them to go.  You do want to use something like the Grid Paper or a piece of copy paper to attach all the pieces to because for the next step it will make the second die cutting process a lot easier.  Once that was done I could move to the next step.

After I got everything done I took the ribbon die from the Support Ribbon Dies and cut out the ribbon from the puzzle piece paper.  Now I have a Autism Awareness Ribbon with just a little work and patience.  Next I took a piece of Basic Gray Cardstock and run it through my die cutting and embossing machine with the Subtles 3D Embossing Folder.  I then attached this piece to my Thick Whisper White Card base.  I then die cut a scalloped oval from Basic Black Cardstock and a basic oval in Whisper White using the Layering Oval Dies.  I attached each oval to each other with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue and attached the ovals to the card front.  I took the ribbon and placed on the oval with a couple stampin' dimensionals.

I then stamped the two sentiment puzzle pieces from the Love You To Pieces Stamp Set.  One was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink and the other was done in Pineapple Punch Ink.  I then used the matching dies and cut them both out.  I popped each piece with dimensionals.  To finish off the card I added some of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots in the Pineapple Punch color to embellish the card, and add just a little bit more color.
