Rick's Saturday Simple Stamping Episode 20: featuring the All Good Things Stamp Set

Hello and welcome to my blog for the second post today; In this post we will be talking about this weeks Simple Stamping Card.  This week the retiring list was announced if you missed that post you can see it here.  Sadly on that list was the All Good Things Stamp Set, but also on that list was the 2017-2019 In Color Stampin' Write Markers.  I don't think a lot of people realize what you can do with the Stampin' Write Markers so for this weeks simple stamping card and video I wanted to show you one great technique that you can use these markers for.
Did you know that you could use them to stamp multiple colors on one image all at once?  If you are just starting out you may have not known this little trick.  This technique is a great way to get more bang for your buck.  You basically get five ink pads with just one small purchase.  I used all five of the out going in colors one this one image.  I did have to use one additional color to do the image.  In addition to the 2017-2019 In Colors was a Soft Suede marker for the tree trunk, this way it looks like a natural tree.  You can see exactly how I accomplished this in the video tutorial below.  Please remember that you may have to click here to see the video.  Some email servers will not show the embedded video.

Video Tutorial:

Tips & Tricks:

I colored the image in all the colors all at once and then I huffed (a couple deep breaths) onto the inked up image to remoisten the ink on the stamp.  By doing this it will allow you to get a nice impression each time.  The warmth of your breath helps the ink to moisten back which allows it to transfer.
When you first start stamping you may want to do a image just like this but you don't own a stamp positioner, or you may not have all the ink pads.  You probably only own a few supplies so the Stampin' Write Markers are a great addition to add to your collection.   Because, you can get them and you have every color of ink in this small slender tube.  Plus another great thing is you can purchase them all at once in the Many Marvelous Marker set or you can also buy them in color family for a little cheaper price up front.  And for some beginning stampers this is very important.  The in color families always come out in new sets of five every year.  Each group is out for two years before they are retired.  This year the leaving colors are the 2017-2019 In Colors (Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide, Powder Pink, and Fresh Fig).  They will probably sale fast since they have been on the retiring list and they are very popular colors.

This is one of the best things for new stampers to learn because it will open up a whole new world for your crafting and stamping.  I also used the whisper white note cards to produce today's simple stamping card.
Thanks for dropping by today for this weeks Simple Stamping Episode.  I hope that you found some information and that this has helped you.  You will find a full list of the supplies that I used today in the list below.

Come Sail Away OnStage Make & Take Sneak Peek Week Day 6

Hello and welcome to my blog;  If you haven't been watching I've been sharing all week the make & takes and sneak peeks from the new 2019 Stampin Up! Annual catalog that I made at OnStage over the past weekend from Onstage Charlotte.  Today, I am going to share the make and take for the Come Sail Away Suite in the new catalog, but before I do let me just say that these items will not be available till June.
This fun little note card maybe small in size but delivers big impact.  The background is a mix of both designer series paper, watercolor panel, and stamped images.
The multiple layers on this little note card are what gives a huge impact!  You have watercoloring, designer series paper, fuzzy cutting, embellishments, stamped images all on this little card that can be mailed.  Here's a look at the suite.
There are pretty much everything in this suite of products, I mean you have wonderful designer series paper, pretty embellishments, baker's twine, Stamp set, and matching dies as well as a new embossing folder.  This was one of the suites that was a must have for me because of the stamp set and the designer series paper.  You can take it masculine to feminine just by what you decide to use.
Just remember that these products are not available until June 2, to customers, but demonstrators can get things earlier like a month before it goes live.  So if you want to have these products before hand you can totally get them by joining my stamping family.  Being able to order new products before anyone else is a great perk to being a demonstrator plus you get a 20% discount on future orders and the possibility of taking that to 25%.  So if you are interested you can read more about being a demonstrator by clicking here.   The big thing to know about being a demonstrator is to think of it like a Costco or Sam's Club membership with one except.  The exception is instead of only getting a god awful little photo ID worse than your driver licence photo can be; but you get products at a discount which is way better than just the photo id.
Thanks for dropping by today, for another OnStage Sneak Peak, I have one more for you tomorrow, but I will have a simple stamping post for you later today.

Perennial Essence Suite OnStage Sneak Peek Week Day 5

Hello and welcome to my blog for day five of my OnStage Sneak Peek week.  This week I have been sharing with you little sneak peeks of products and samples that we got to see and make last weekend while I was attending the Local OnStage in Charlotte North Carolina.  So today I am going to share with you probably one of my favorite suites in the new catalog.  I am going to share with you the card we made using the products from the Perennial Essence Suite.  Here's a look at the card we did as a Make & Take.

There are some great products in this suite!  You have new colored vellum, beautiful designer series paper inspired by the Impressionist painters of the 19th century, cute little embellishments, and a wonderful stamp set.   The Floral Essence Stamp Set features lovely sentiments and wonderful floral images great for anyone's style of crafting.
The Floral Essence stamp set also has a matching punch as you can see on the card we made.  When the new catalog comes out in June You will be able to get both the stamp set and punch in a cost saving bundle.

Buy the way if you want to receive a free 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog I send them Free to my customers that have ordered from me in the last six months.  If you would like a free copy all you have to do is place a order in my online store and you will be on the list.   Or I can send you an invoice for $6 and I will be glad to pop one in the mail to you.  Catalogs will not start shipping until mid May.  We can not even order them until the first of May.

If you think you are seeing fuzzy centers on the vellum flowers you would be correct.  This is one of the embellishments that will be coming out soon!  And, they are perfect for the flower centers, I will let you know if they fit the Daisy Stamp Sets.  Can you see that fabulous designer series paper on this card.  OMG! It's so pretty in person. I think I feel in love with this pack of paper due to my love of Monet's waterlily paintings.  This pack of wonderful yumminess features impressionistic details and the images used to create it was hand painted by one of the designers at Stampin' Up!.
In the image above you can see a little sneak peek of not only this floral infused pack of designer series paper but a little look at the new 12 x 12 colored vellum as well.
In closing let me remind you that you want be able to get these products until the catalog goes live in June.  I think it's June 2nd but I will have to double check my dates to be sure.  If you are looking at these products and thinking I need them before that; well you can do it by joining my team.  If you join now you will be able to preorder new products in May a full month before it goes live to everyone.  That's just one of the  perks to being a demonstrator not to mention you will get to save 20% on that and all future orders.  So for $99 you can pick $125 worth of product in your starter kit and then in May preorder select items in the new 2019 Annual catalog.  IF you would like to learn more you can click on the tabs under the join button at the top of my blog.  There you will find a lot of information that will help answer all your questions, if you still have questions or need help contact me and we can talk about it.  By the way I forgot to mention that your starter kit ships free.  If you already know you would like to take advantage of this great deal click the image below to start the process of signing up and picking out the items in your starter kit.  You can also add items on the last chance list to your kit and save more.
