Blogging Friends July Blog Hop: Theme Summer Lovin'

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my card for this month's Blogging Friends Blog Hop.  This month our theme was Summer Lovin'; and I must confess that every time I say or type it I think of GREASE.  But, that's not where I went with this month's theme.  I went just a little different.  I came up with a super cute card that is just adorable.  I used my favorite new stamp set Over the Moon.  Yes, that was my one must have stamp set when we could order it.  I was so excited when it was on the preorder for demonstrators, because I was not able to order it when I got my catalog in April it wasn't part of the products we could order.  It gives me the same feeling as the Little Piggy set did.  And I am so happy to own them both.  Here's a look at my card and I will stop going on about it.

Tips & Tricks:

See I told you this was a super cute card.  I used the Love What You Do Stamp Set to stamp the cow skin pattern on the base of the card.  By the way the card base is a piece of Thick Whisper White cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2, and I turned it on it's side to make a side opening card.  I then took a piece of Whisper white and stamped the two cows in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in using my Stampin' Blends.  As far as what colors I used was Basic Black light and Smoky Slate dark to color in the cows spots.  I colored the mouth with Petal Pink light and dark blends, and their hooves with Smoky Slate light and dark.  For the cows bodies I used Balmy Blue light and dark on the one on the left and Purple posy on the one on the right. I used Granny Apple Green, and Flirty Flamingo for the flower and grass as well as the heart in the little speech bubble.  The sky was colored using Seaside Spray Light and dark and the color lifter.
I matted the colored piece on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and then used a little strip of basic black and versamark to stamp the sentiment.  I heat embossed the sentiment in White Embossing Powder, and popped it up using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  I popped the Cow image up on Stampin' Dimensionals also.
On the inside of the card I stamped the third cow in Tuxedo Black ink.  I like the use of just the outline image on the inside in juxtaposition to the colored outside.  I think this gives a fun contrast to the entire card.
Thanks for dropping by today.  If you need any of the supplies you have seen today you can pick them up in my online store.  If you are viewing this post on my Wordpress site you will need to click here to view the blog roll.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop: Favorite New Catalog Product

Hello and welcome to the June Blogging Friends Blog Hop.  This month we are sharing one of our favorite products from the 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  The new Catalog just released on June 4th.  One of my favorite products from the new catalog is the Daisy Lane Stamp Set and Daisy Lane Bundle (which comes with the new Medium Daisy Punch).  This set also coordinates with the very Popular Large Daisy Punch and the Daisy Delight Stamp Set; both of which are carry over products from the last catalog.  Okay, I guess it's time to share my card for today.

Tips & Tricks:

For my card I knew I was going to use the Daisy Delight Stamp Set and matching punches.  So the next step was picking my colors.  I pulled out my pack of the 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper and pulled out Rococo Rose.  I ended up picking the Gingham pattern in the paper pack.  Once I knew what my focal color was going to be It was time to pick the matching colors to go along with it.
Picking the colors was super easy with the new Color Coach.  This great little tool by Stampin' Up! suggests different color combinations and they all work together very well.  I paired it with Mint Macaron with Petal Pink for a lovely color combination.
I stamped the daisies (both large and small) in Petal pink and Rococo Rose, and used the Large Daisy Punch and the Medium Daisy Punch to punch them out.  I also used the returning sprig and Leaf punches to punch out a few in Mint Macaron cardstock.  I stamped Smile on a little piece of Whisper White and punched it out using a 1 3/8 punch and punched out a piece of Rococo Rose Cardstock with a 1 1/2 circle punch.
I added the gingham paper unto a piece of whisper white cardstock, and then attached it to my card base.  I then added a piece of the same paper on the inside.  Before adding everything to the front of the card I cut a piece of the Rococo Rose Scalloped Edge Ribbon and added it to the front of the card.  I then added all my daisies with both regular Stampin' Dimensionals and Minis.  I added the sentiment to finish off my card.
Thanks for dropping by today.  If you are viewing this post on my wordpress site you will need to click here to view the blog roll.  You can pick up all the supplies I used in the Shopping list below.
