May Blogging Friends Blog Hop - Favorite Retiring Products

Hello and welcome to my blog; today is the first day of May and it's the first Friday of the month! So, that means it's time for this month's Blogging Friends Blog Hop.  This month our theme was showcase your favorite retiring products.  I picked the Capture the Good Stamp Set to showcase today.  I am sad that this stamp set is retiring I think it's super cute.  Here's a look at my card.

I started my card by stamping the cameras onto a piece of whisper white cardstock that I cut down to 3 3/4 x 5.  I stamped in Blushing Bride, Old Olive Gorgeous Grape.  I stamped my main camera in Lovely Lipstick and cut it out with my paper snips.  I then stamped the shutter and the oh snap in the same color.  I cut out the oh snap with the smallest stitched circle.  I cut out a scallop circle with the layering circle dies.  I popped the shutter up on the camera with a stampin' dimensional and added the sentiment with one as well.  I added the stamped image onto a piece of Gorgeous Grape 4 x 5 1/4 cardstock.
I added the some of the ribbon from the Botanical Prints Product Medley onto this layer.  I then tied a flat knot to this.  I then added the card front to a Lovely Lipstick card base.  I then finished off the card by adding a few of the Glitter Enamel Dots around the card.  That finishes my card for today.  Have fun hopping along this month.  You will find the blog roll as well as the Video Tutorial below.

The April Kit had some really cute products inside and the stamp set was a great one.  Inside this month's little orange box was supplies to make eight cards with all the die cut pieces, card bases (scored ready to go) envelopes, adhesive dots, banners, little shimmery pearls in Soft Seafoam and Crushed Curry, and some Melon Mambo Ribbon.  I forgot to mention the stamp set and the ink spot; which for this month was Pear Pizzazz.  If you are just starting out as a crafter or want something crafty to do as a family Paper Pumpkin is a perfect solution.

Tips & Tricks:

For my Card this month I started out with a piece of Pear Pizzazz Cardstock and cut it down to 4 1/4 x 11 and then scored it at 5 1/2.  I folded the card base and burnished it with my bone folder.  I then cut the other half of the Pear Pizzazz Cardstock down to 4 x 5 1/4.  With this layer I used the tree top image and inked it up in Pear Pizzazz Ink and stamped it all around this layer.  Next I used the same image and took Soft Seafoam Classic Ink and then did the Rock n Roll Technique and inked the edges in Pear Pizzazz ink before stamping it down onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  I repeated the inking and stamping process again so that I had two of the tree tops.  I then used my Paper Snips and cut it out.

I took my Pear Pizzazz layer and popped it up on Stampin' Dimensionals and placed it on my card base.  I then took one of the die cuts from the kit, the one with the soft seafoam background and writing and cut it out with the Largest scalloped stitched rectangle die in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut this out as my next layer and placed it on the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.  This project uses a lot of Dimensionals by the way.  I then attached the tree truck with a little liquid glue.  After the glue dried I added the two tree tops that I stamped above.   Those were added with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To finish off my card I took one of the Soft Seafoam banners from the kit and stamped my outside sentiment on.  I layered one of the Crushed Curry pieces on the stitched scalloped rectangle and placed my banner on top of that with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I then added two of the die cut birds from the kit and one of the die cut butterflies.  Next I added a few of the Shimmery Pearls from the kit around the card.  I then added a piece of whisper white cut at 4 x 5 1/4 stamped with my inside sentiment to the inside of the card.  Before adding it to the inside I did stamp the tree top in two of the corner one at the top and one at the bottom as a little tie in to the front in Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink.

Fun Card to Make During the Pandemic

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card that I made using the new digital download by Stampin' Up!.  They are doing fundraising event from April 28 till at least June 2, raising money for the Covid19 Relief Fund.  Stampin' Up! has designed a set of digital images and sentiments that can be purchased and all the proceeds go to the fundraiser.  There are some super cute images and fun sentiments in the PDF that are so timely.  I created my cards today with two of the images from the download.  Here's a look at my cards.

Tips & Tricks:

This is a super easy card to put together once you have the Covid19 Giveback PDF.  You simply print it off onto Whisper White Cardstock from your home printer, and you're good to go.  The PDF has 15 pages of digital images for you to use and let me just say that's a lot of cards.  Once I had mine printed off I picked out which images I wanted to use and used my Layering Circle dies to cut them and two scalloped circles out.  My scalloped circles where cut from Calypso Coral Cardstock.  I used some of the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper as the backdrop for the images.  I did add a little coloring to my images to make them stand out a little bit more.  I just used the Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends Combo Pack and the Color Lifter.

I also added a little of the Bermuda Bay Striped Ribbon to the card and some of the Glitter Enamel dots to add a little more interest to the simple card design.  My card base for both cards was a piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock that I cut to 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2.  I popped both the scalloped circle and the printed circle up on Stampin' Dimensionals to have a couple different layers to the card.

I just adore this new digital images from Stampin' Up! I think they are fun and they make me laugh.  A lot of them made me laugh out loud when I printed the PDF.  In Case you are wondering Stampin' Up! nor Demonstrators profit from the sale of the PDF all the money raised will be sent to the two charities.  So with that being said if you would like to purchase one I will link to the website where you can order directly here, and the image below.  If you would like to purchase the the other supplies that I used today I will link them below in the Product Supply List.  Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have a wonderful day and I will see you tomorrow for another post.
