Tea Together for The Spot Challenge #108 Mother's Day

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am sharing with my card for this weeks challenge at The Spot.  The theme for this weeks challenge is Mother's Day.  Everyone created projects for mother's day or to support of their mom.  I picked the Tea Together Stamp Set to feature on my project today.  One because it had a beautiful tea set, roses, and wonderful fonts.  And, secondly it was the perfect image to create a fun scene card with my stampin' blends.  Here's a look at my card.

I started my card by stamping the tea pot and tea cup from the stamp set and added the rose buds and flower to both.  I stamped in tuxedo black ink and colored the pot and cup in with Balmy Blue Blends and added just a little color lifter to blend out the lightest color.  I colored the roses and flowers in Flirty Flamingo and Mint Macaron Blends.  To color the handles, top, and bottom of the cup I used a combination of So Saffron, Mango Melody, and Soft Suede to create the golden color.

After coloring the cup and teapot in I set them aside to create the background.  I masked off part of the card to stamp the rose wall paper in the background.  Once I had all the roses stamped I removed the post it tape and was able to color both the wall paper and the table.  I started by coloring all the roses with Rococo Rose Blends, and Mint Macaron.  I colored the background with So Saffron blends with a couple layers of color.  I colored one layer of each color let it dry and then added another layer of color and blended it all out.  I then started to work on the table.

For the table I used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Bronze blends.  I added a little color lifter here and there to add a little texture.  To achieve the wood grain look it's a matter of keep layering and not stopping when you think it's not looking good, keep going and you will get the look you want.  Once I had everything colored I took the matching dies and cut out the tea cup and the teapot.  I then stamped the sentiment on to the card front.  I added the finished panel to a whisper white mat.  Everything was added to a Rococo Rose Card base.

Once everything was cut out and added to the card front it was time to finish building the card.  I added a little of the Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon between the wall and table to give the look of a trim.  I popped up the teapot with dimensionals as well as the tea cup.  I finished off the card by adding a few of the So Saffron Sequins from the Iridescent Sequins Assortment.  You can play along with use this week and check out what the other design team members came up with by clicking here.  Thanks for dropping by today, If you need any of the products you've seen today you can order them in my online store.  Some of the items are on the Last Chance List so don't wait to long.

Bonanza Buddies Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card I made before the retiring list came out but haven't gotten around to sharing with you just yet.  I thought I would go ahead and share it with you today.  I was very sad when I saw this set on the retiring list last week.  It's a fun set and perfect for birthday cards, and projects for kids.  And, kids at heart too.  Whimsical animals, confetti patterns, and detailed birthday images are the main features of the Bonanza Buddies Stamp Set. They are perfect for birthday cards, party favors, and all your birthday creations. This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set; it allows you to layer two or more images to create one final image with extra texture and dimension in the colors you want.  Here's a look at my card using this fun stamp set.

This fun little card is probably one of my favorites that I made using this stamp set, well next to my card for the may Creative Stampers Tutorial Bundle which features this Suite of Products.  I started my card by Stamping the lion which is done in a couple different parts by the way.  I stamped the head and body in Daffodil Delight Classic Ink and stamped the main in Mango Melody Classic Ink.  His little face was done in Tuxedo Black ink as well as the sentiment on the tag.  I have said it before this bundle is worth ordering just for the dies.  I love this stitched tag die!  Once I had the image stamped I used the matching dies and cut it out.  I then pieced him together.  I popped the head up in the main with a Stampin' Dimensional and glued everything together with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On the tag I added a strip of the designer series paper and a little banner made from the designer series paper.  By the way my tage was cut from a scrap of Bermuda Bay Cardstock.  I also added some of the Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon tied with a little Whisper White Solid Baker's twine to add a little extra to this simple card design.  Next I started layering everything together.  I used a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Terracotta Tile Cardstock to make a top folding card.  I added a piece of the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper to a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 piece of Grapefruit Grove Cardstock before layering it onto the card base.

When you use this designer series paper you will be inviting the party animals from the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper to your crafting bonanza. This high-quality printed paper is excellent scrapbook paper, card making paper, and more. Pack includes fun party and animal patterns. The patterns in this paper are very fun and whimsical so if you don't like fun this paper isn't for you.  You should just keep scrolling past it in my online store.  Now if you love a little whimsy in your projects this is a must have.

After layering up the outside I added a piece of whisper white cardstock to the inside with a strip of designer series paper to it to finish off my card.  I hope that you have enjoyed my card for today.  If you need any of the supplies you need to order them ASAP because most of the products are on the Last Chance List and selling quickly.  The items on the list are on a while supplies last basics.  The stamps are guaranteed to be in stock until May 22, 2020, but besides that it's get in where you fit in.  I will have everything listed below in the Stampin' Up! A Good Man - Global Video Hop April 2020

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my project for the April Global Video Hop.  This month our theme was Masculine projects, so I pulled out my A Good Man Stamp Set and created a card for you today.  I also will share the card I had done in another color scheme using the same design also.  But, I love the A Good Man Stamp Set and it's prefect for both Father's day, which by the way is just around the corner, birthday cards, retirement cards, and so much more.  Here's a look at my card.

A Good Man Stamp Set, Global Video Hop, Rick Adkins, Stampin' Up!

I started out my design today by picking the colors.  I already knew what the design was because I had already made one in a different color scheme.  So I picked Crumb Cake, Real Red, and Blackberry Bliss as my colors for my card for the hop.  And I love how they look together.  I wasn't sure at first but I am very happy with the outcome.
