Day 3 of 9 Days of Sale-A-Bration featuring Stampin' Up! Moon Baby

Twinkle Twinkle little Star how I wonder what you are? Today I am showing you a star of the upcoming New Occasions Catalog which goes live January 4th. This shinning little star of a stamp set is a great set for all things babies. It is great for Baby Showers, babies births, or just a 1st birthday. I loved this set so much that I just had to have it. Moon Baby is a fun stamp set that goes great in anyone's collection I mean really who doesn't need stamps for babies. So I had to feature it in the Nine Days of Sale-A-Bration event. Here's a look at today's card.

Look how cute it is! Who would not fall in love with this stamp set.

It has some great little sentiments, that can be used for so many different types of Baby cards.

Tips and Tricks:

When coloring the images you can color it in so many different ways. This stamp set is great with many different coloring media. And, each will give you a different look. I picked the many marvelous markers to show you how they would work and what types of effects you can get from them. When I mention feathering in the video; it can give you the affect of different tones and values. To feather you want to have a very light touch and flick at the end this will give you a feathering effect.

Depending on how you color things it will give you a different effect. For example in the hair I did it two different ways. One i just outlined the hair and added just a few flicks of hair in the other I added more hair and colored it in more. Each gives a different look to each card.

You can change the colors of the color to create a different ethnic child, hair color, a boy, a girl, or gender neutral baby(if you don't know what the sex of the baby is).
To color the baby I prefer to use the pink pirouette stampin' write marker and a blender pen. I color the the outside of the image in and leaving a little white space where I want the highlight is. Next while the ink is still wet I take a blender pen and pull out the color into the white space this allows some of the ink to come out in a lighter shade. This also perseveres the highlight on the face. Depending on where your light source is the white space left will be different.

To finish off the card I stamped the twinkle twinkle little star sentiment in Basic Gray Archival ink on the little Foxy Designer series paper. This paper stack paired great with this card because it goes with the Foxy Friends stamp set that is also great for babies. The paper stack has some great colors in it for both neutral and gender specific babies. Here's another look at the card for today.

Hello stampers and crafters I hope that you are doing well today.  Today I am sharing with you my Thank you cards for November and December.  If you have placed an order with me during this time period you will be getting one in the mail very shortly.  My card features the All Things thanks stamp set (available January 4th) from the upcoming Occasions Catalog.  This is a wonderful thank you sentiment stamp set, and we all need a great stamp set for thank you cards.  I mean really we all need thank you cards.

If you look at the images above you can see that there are some great thank you sentiments in this set and some wonderful fonts.   There's a font for anyone, and each one will give a different feel for each card you create with this stamp set.   Here's a look at my card for today.

When I started creating this design I knew that I wanted to use the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper, especially this pattern.  I knew that I wanted to use the Sweet & Sassy Framelits and this paper with the Candy Cane Hearts was perfect.  It had the matching hearts, plus it was great for December Thank you's.   So it was only natural that I went with Real Red, Crumb Cake and Whisper White as my color pallet.
Which to me is a classic color combination.   I have used this combo a lot and I just love it.  These are some of the colors that I gravitate to most.

Sizes and Dimensions:

  • Crumb Cake 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
  • Real Red 4 x 4
  • Whisper White 3 1/2 x 3 1/2
  • Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper 4 x 5 1/4

Ocassions & Sale-A-Bration Sneak Peek featuring Stampin' Up!'s Hey Chick, All Things Thanks and New Watercolor Pencils

Hello my friends I am so excited to be sharing with you this morning some of the upcoming products in both the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Brochure both going live January 4, 2017.   I am just going to say there are so many great things in both these new books that you will be so excited to get your hands on them all.

Whats the Hue with Watercolor Pencils:

Images by Stampin' Up!

With the new catalogs coming out we are also getting one of my favorite new products.  I am so excited that we are getting New Watercolor Pencils.   And as I stated in the video below, I have used and purchased many different watercolor pencils due to having an art degree, and being an artist.   And, I absolutely love these watercolor pencils.
They move like butter.   Each pencil has a range of color, that is a major thing for any watercolor pencil.  To make it even better they blend beautifully.   Each pencil match our ink colors fabulously.  I was very impressed with the quality and abilities of our new Pencils, I highly recommend them.

I feel these will be a number one seller come January 4th.   I am so about to order another couple sets for classes.

Hey Chick You're Amazing:

Coming up with this card was so easy, I loved both these sets since I saw them back in November at OnStage in Atalanta.   And, I knew that I was going to get them both once I placed my orders.
Let's talk about the stamp set All Things Thanks.  This is a wonderful Thank you Stamp set, it has so many different fonts, and styles that it will please everyone.   This set has so many great thank you sentiment that it could be used for all kinds of thank you cards.   The large Thanks for Everything stamp is a wonderful size it is nice and large, much more so than I thought it would be.
