Timeless Tulips for The Spot Color Challenge #103

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the card that I made for this week's Color Challenge over at The Spot.  This week we have a super fun color challenge for you to play along with and it's perfect for Springtime.  I used the Timeless Tulips Bundle to create my card for today's colorful challenge.  I thought it matched perfectly with the colors that were put together.  Here's a look at my card.

And here's a look at this week's color challenge that inspired my card today.  You can click on the challenge image to play along or (click here) just to see what all the other design team members came up with.

Tips & Tricks:

I picked five of the six colors to create my card with today.  I went with Blushing Bride, Grapefruit Grove, Rococo Rose, Early Espresso and Soft Sea Foam.  I wanted to create something that was very springy in feel so I thought those colors would be fun to play with.  I also picked the Timeless Tulips Bundle to feature on my card because I thought it would lend itself to a very spring filled card.
Once the colors and stamp set were picked it was pretty easy to move forward

Then it was just a matter of figuring out how I wanted to use the items.  I decided that I would make a springtime bouquet on my card and make it an encouragement card.  I thought it was a great time for a card like this with everything going on right now.  So I started out my stamping all my stems in a grouping to mimic a bundled bouquet.  Then I needed to stamp my tulips.  I stamped three on them directly on the card and then two I used the matching punch to punch them out.  For the triumph tulip I stamped the leaf in the that matches the punch twice.  One I did mirror stamping and then punched it out.  On that tulip I actually inked it up first with Blushing Bride and used a sponge dauber to go around the outside with Rococo Rose to create a darker area as well.    I repeated the inking process on the other tulip that I punched as well.  I just changed the starting color to Grapefruit Grove instead of the Blushing Bride.  I kept the Rococo Rose around the outside to create the two tone.

I popped those two tulips up on a couple Stampin' Dimensionals to add a little height to the card.  Next I needed something to bond the bundle together so I decided to use the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon but died it with a little Early Espresso ink, a clear block and a baby wipe.  Once I had the ribbon die I tied it into a bow and added it to the card front.  I added my sentiment in Early Espresso Classic Ink at the bottom left of the card front.

I added the card front on to a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock cut at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  And, then added the entire thing to my Soft Seafoam Card base.  I decided at this point that I did a little more dimension to the card so I stamped one more leaf in Soft Sea Foam and punched it out and added it to the card with a little liquid glue and a dimensionals behind.

Thanks for dropping by today, and I hope that you will play along with use this week over at The Spot.  We have fun cardmaking and paper crafting challenges every week.  So make sure you go and check it out and have a little fun.  If you need any of the supplies you have seen today you can pick them up in my online store 24/7 by clicking on the items in the shopping list below.

Case the Catalog Peaceful Moments

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you another one of the card that I received from the Case the Catalog Swap that I took part in recentently.  Sandy Risi was the person that created this Catalog Case for this Swap.  I wanted to take the time and share this super cute clean & simple card featuring products from the Peaceful Poppies Suite.  I love this card that came from the new January - June Mini Catalog.  Here's a look at the card.

This card design features the Poppy Moments Dies and the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.  It's a clean and simple card design and could be changed up for any occasion.  I think that's one of the things that I like about the card Sandi decided to case.  It's a great little design but very versatile at the same time.   And you could use up some of your scraps to create it.

I also like this design because it allows you to showcase the designer series paper as well as the dies.  Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper features hand painted blooms and watercolor washes that make beautiful backgrounds or focal points for cards, scrapbook pages, and other paper crafts. Patterns include floral prints, stripes, polka dots, and more.
Create fancy, layered die-cut poppies, leaves, and more to add beauty and depth to your handmade cards, scrapbooks, journals, and other paper crafts using the Poppy Moments Dies just like was done here on today's card. Pair the dies with the coordinating Peaceful Moments Stamp Set to add heartfelt sentiments to your projects for birthdays, congratulations, sympathy, thank you, and more.  This is also the bundle that I am featuring in this month's Technique and Fancy Fold Club.  If you are interested in joining the club you can do so until the 20th.  You can find all the information by clicking on the image below.  The club was designed so that everyone will learn either a new fun fold or stamping technique.  It's also priced so that demonstrators can take part at the same price as anyone else.

Thoughtful Blooms Simple Stampin Episode 43

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a new Simple Stamping card and video.  If's been awhile since I have shared a Simple Stamping card since the start of the Holidays.  I am happy to be back and happy to be sharing with you some new simple stamping.  Simple Stamping was designed to share and teach the joy of stamping with new stampers and people that have maybe done just a little stamping.  For my card today I am using the Sale-a-bration stamp set Thoughtful Blooms for my card today.  Here's a look at my card.

The Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set is a perfect floral stamp set for cards.  Make thank you cards and congratulations cards with the sentiments in this set, or mix and match this set with other stamp sentiments to make cards for any occasion.  This Two-Step Stampin’ set lets you layer images to create more depth and interest.  Get the stamp set with its coordinating punch, and make piles of cards in a snap!  Earn this stamp set FREE with a qualifying purchase January 3–March 31, 2020, during our Sale-A-Bration promotion!

Video Tutorial:

If you are viewing this post by email you may have to click here or the image below to view the video.  Not all email servers will show the embedded video.
For my card I stamped the a couple of the different larger flowers around the card along with the greenery.  I then filled in areas of the paper with the smaller flowers.  I added some more of the leaves and added this to my card base.  I then stamped the sentiment and added it to the card to finish off the simple stamping version of this card.  All of the supplies that I used to make this card will cost you before shipping and taxes $72.75.  Which would allow you to get the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set for FREE as your Saleabration choice.

Simple Stamping Card Supply List:

For the Casual Crafter:

Now for the casual crafter you can totally step this card up a little more by adding just a few more supplies.  For my causal crafter version of this same card I added in the Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon, the Champagne Basic Rhinestones a Crumb Cake Ink Pad and the Small Bloom Punch along with some mini dimensionals.
I did the same design as before but stamped the vein image around the the card base in matching crumb cake ink.  Added the rhinestones and Petal Pink Metallic Edge ribbon to dress everything up just a little bit more.  With the addition of these few items at $93.25 before taxes and shipping you can still get the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp set for free.  Now if you add in a little bit more and brought your total up to $150 you would be able to get the Stamp Set and matching punch for free.  Plus qualify for stampin' rewards to use towards more free items.

Casual Card Shopping List:

Avid Stampers Card:

Now for the Avid stampers version of this card I added in the Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut the hand made designer series paper but left everything else the same.  By using the dies it brought my before shipping and tax total to $125.25.  So by adding an additional 24.75 you would be able to get both the Stamp set and matching punch as your saleabration items and us Stampin' Rewards for some more freebies.  I would probably add in the matching stamp set to the Stitched So Sweetly dies to bring me over the $150 mark.
