Blogging Friends March Blog Hop Spring Wedding

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my project for the March Blogging Friends Blog Hop.  Our theme this month is Spring Weddings.  Spring is a time of renewal and new beginnings.  Weddings are one of the biggest new beginnings that anyone can take part in their lifetime, and they are a great reason to celebrate; and it something that's meant to last a lifetime.  Here's a look at my card.

  Tips & Tricks:

As I said this is a easy card and uses mostly stamps ink and paper besides the dies from the Last a Lifetime Bundle.  I started off my card by taking the Very Vanilla cardstock and doing my die cutting.  Once all the die cutting was done I used the die brush to remove all the all the little pieces.

I stamped the sentiment floral image and a few of the hearts in versamark ink and added Sliver Embossing powder.  Once heat set it was time to add the card front to my card base.  I used Whisper White Thick cardstock to make the card base.  I originally used a portrait card base but for the video I used a landscape card base.  To dress up the card I stamped the sentiment on the inside with Basic Gray ink along with the flowers from the stamp set.  I also added a few rhinestones to add some shien and sparkle.

Wonderful Moments Wedding Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share a card with you that I CASEd from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  Case means to Copy and Share Everything.  And is a great way to learn new techniques and other card ideas learn from them.  I used the Wonderful Moments stamp set for my card.  The Wonderful Moments stamp set is a beautiful set with some wonderful sentiments and imagery that's easy to color with your favorite media.  Here's a look at my card.

Here's a look at the card that inspired my card today.

Tips & Tricks:

To start off I took a piece of Whisper White Cardstock cut at 4 x 5 1/4, and stamped the bride image in Tuxedo Black ink.  I then repeated the stamping on a piece of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper in the same ink.  Once the ink was dry on the DSP I took my basic black stampin' write marker and extended the lines of the dress to run off the card front.   I then used my Paper Snips and cut out the dress.  I made sure to cut it out just along the stamped lines.  I then took my Stampin' Blends and colored the rest of the bride.

Once all the coloring was done I used some Multipurpose Liquid Glue and attached the designer series paper dress right over the other one.  I then stamped the sentiment on the card front with calypso coral ink.  I added the card front to a piece of petal pink cardstock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  I then added it to my Sahra Sand Card base that was cut to 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.

To finish off the card I added a few rhinestones to add a little bling and shine to the card.  Thanks for dropping by today.  If you need any of the supplies that I used today you can find them listed below in my Stampin' Up Shopping List.

Case the Catalog: First Frost meets Feels Like Frost for a Fun Wedding Gift Card Holder

Hello and welcome to my blog; for this weeks CASE the catalog I am casing a card from the Feels Like Frost Suite in the Holiday Catalog.  We went to friends from churches engagement party last night and we needed a gift card holder.  So I created a fun gift card holder in their wedding colors.  I just happened to ask last week at church what their wedding colors were so it worked out wonderfully.  No, I didn't have any idea I was going to be making a gift card holder for them.  LOL!  Here's a look at the cute little gift card holder that I came up with.

And here's the card that I drew my inspiration from. My inspiration came from the small square card in the middle of this image.  This image can be found on page 40 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.

Their colors are gray and navy so I just happened to have Night of Navy and Basic Gray cardstock.
Since the back side of the designer series paper has silver and white I pulled in those two colors as well with Smoky Slate and Whisper White to round everything out.
To make this card into a gift card holder wasn't two hard.  I used one piece of cardstock.  I cut it at 5 1/2 x 11 instead of the normal 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  I did this because I wanted a pocket on the inside for the gift card to sit in.  And I didn't want to glue in another piece of cardstock when I could just cut it to size.  Here's a look at the inside of the card.

I decorated the inside of the card and pocket with the left over designer series paper from the Feels like Frost DSP that I used on the front with a little Night of Navy mat.  I also added some left over stamped images from the First Frost Stamp set that is also on the front of the card.  I made a little notch in the pocket with my 1" circle punch so that the gift card would slide in and out easily.
To finish off the card and the presentation for the couple I stamped the flap of the envelope in the same colors that I used on the card.  Night of Navy, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.  That finishes my card, I hope that you like it and that you may give this a try when you need a card for your next gift card.  Thanks for dropping by I will see you again on Monday for another fun project.
