Royal Peacock Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you may card using products from the Noble Peacock Suite.   Noble Peacock!  This suite has all kinds of shinny things in it.  It has foil, foiled specialty Designer Series paper by the way that's a great weight for 3d projects, rhinestones and a wonderful Peacock Stamp Set.  Here's a look at my card.

I started off with stamping the Peacock with Blueberry bushel and Pretty Peacock inks using the Stamparatus.  I stamped both colors at the same time.  I then added the second layer of the peacock image by stamping the second layer of feathers with versamark.  Then I added gold stampin emboss powder on top and heat set it.  This added just the right amount of texture to the peacock.  I then used my wink of stella to color the top part of the Peacock.  This gave the perfect watercolor look with a couple simple steps.
I added the designer series paper to a piece of whisper white cardstock as a mat.  The I cut a piece of blueberry bushel and ran it through my embossing machine with the Beads and Baubles Embossing Folder.  I then added that to a piece of whisper white cardstock as a mat.  Since I did die cut the peacock out after stamping it using the matching dies I wanted to add a little white to the card and break up the Blueberry Bushel just a little.
I heat embossed my sentiment on a piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock using versamark & gold embossing powder once heat set I punched it out using a 2" circle punch.  I added some of the Pretty Peacock Foil behind the sentiment.  I used the starburst punch to punch that out and mounted it with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added a knot made from the old olive/pretty peacock reversible ribbon with a mini glue dot.  To finish off my card I added some of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones around the card.  The rhinestones are currently on backorder but will be in stock soon.
I hope that you like my Monochromatic card today.  If you need any of the supplies that I used you can pick them up in my online store 24/7 by clicking on the shop tab above or by clicking on the items in the Shopping List Below.  I look forward to working with you and being your demonstrator.

My Free As A Bird In Color Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the card that I made to send out in my Catalog packages, for all my customers that shopped with me in the last six months.  I wanted to use the new In Colors and wanted to use a fresh summery stamp set.  Free as A Bird fit the bill as a fun summery new stamp set that would be fun to use.  Here's a look at my card.

Each card that I sent out was slightly different.  I cut strips of all the new 2019-2021 In Colors cardstock in various width strips.  The 2" strip I had actually cut earlier for my book makes that I made to send with them as well, but I had a lot of left overs.  So they were perfect to use for these cards.  I was drawn to these colors when I saw them in the catalog because they were so different then anything we have had.  I still wasn't actually sure if I would get them until I actually saw them in person.  My personal favorite is Terracotta Tile, it is very close to the Pantone Color of the year this year Lovely Coral.
Each strip was adhered down with multipurpose liquid glue.  This gave me a little time to move things in line.  I used the lines on my grid paper to help line everything up.  Once I had all the strips down I used a guillotine cutter and trimmed off the overhang.  I wanted them to see the new in colors, because I knew they would have the same reaction as I did when I first saw them in the catalog; and knew this was the best way for them to do so.  It didn't take to long to put together and I think it came out with a really nice look.  This was my sample card that I made to figure things out.  Here's a look at one of the other cards I made with a different color arrangement.

Out of all the catalogs I sent out this time I had one returned, because the post office when I mailed it and they printed the label forgot to put the apartment number on the label.  So I will have to pop her card and bookmark in the mail to here.  I already sent her a new catalog, but wasn't thinking about anything else and forgot to send her one.  I was more concerned about the catalog and why it was coming back because I knew the address label I printed was correct.  But, its okay I will just pop her little goodies in the mail and get them to her.  That was a little side tangent let's get back to the card shall we.
Free As A Bird and the products in the Bird Ballad Suite are my featured products this week and you will be seeing a lot of different projects with them this week.  I have tried to showcase all the products for you to see just how wonderful they are.  I know it's hard to see that in the catalog sometimes but Stampin' Up! has done a great job this year with the new catalog layout and how things are arranged and shown.  If you are interested in the new In Colors and want to have them all but can not get them all at one time, why not join my In Color Club, where you can collect them all over the next five months.  You can read more about that here.

The Free As a Bird Stamp Set has some super fun images that can be used not just the summer months, they actually can be used all year long.  I love the mixed fonts that Stampin' Up! used in the stamp set for the sentiments.  Some of the sentiment is a little more bold than the other part of it which makes for a nice little change in appearance on your projects.  The line art images are perfect for your favorite coloring media.  I chose to just stamp this bird image on all my cards and not color them.  But I did color them on other projects that I have done with this set.  For this month's Creative Stampers Tutorial Bundles the design team decided to focus on this suite of projects.  And let me just say that there are some very cute and fun projects in this month's bundle.  I am so impressed each month with the creativity they come up with.  You can get the tutorial bundle two different ways.  You can either earn it free with a purchase (using the monthly host code) or you can purchase the tutorial bundle for $20 USD from me.

Here's a last look at my card for today.  I will be back later today with another post for Kylie's Bertucci's Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop.

If you are interested in any of these products you can find them below in the Stampin' Up! shopping list.  Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have a wonderful day and I will see you again soon.
Happy Stampin'
