Painted Poppies CASE the Catalog

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you another Card for my CASE the Catalog Series.  Today's card was one that I received as part of a swap that I took part in back in November.  We were all assigned a different stamp set or bundle from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure or the January-June Mini Catalog to CASE.  As a reminder CASE means Copy And Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit.  This card was done by Elizabeth Mayfield-Hart of Spread Joy Stamping.  I have linked her blog so you can check out all the great projects Elizabeth comes up with.  Here's the card that Elizabeth picked to CASE from the Catalog.

Tips & Tricks:

This is a varly easy card to reproduce and I would actually consider it to be more on the #simplestamping side of the crafting spectrum.  The card base is a piece of Calypso Coral Cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 to make a side folding card base.  Next Elizabeth stamped the poppy image from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set.  She stamped it a couple of times along the bottom of the Poppy Parade layer (3 3/4 x 5 1/2).  This can be done two different ways.  One with just the stamp and a clear block.  Or, you can also do this by using the Stamparatus.

I not sure if Elizabeth used Stazon or Tuxedo Black ink for the stamping, but I am willing to suggest that it's probably Stazon Jet Black ink.  I think that this is the ink that was used because of how dark black it is stamped.  Tuxedo Black is really just a dark dark charcoal gray color and not a true true black.  The sentiment came from the matching stamp set Peaceful Moments.  Both of these stamp sets work together beautifully.  The Painted Poppies is all about the imagery and so in contrast the Peaceful Moments is all sentiments that can go with the Painted Poppies set or with any set you would like.
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have a wonderful day and the finish of your weekend.  If you need any of the supplies you've seen today; you will find them all listed in the shopping list below.

Simple Stamping Birthday Card - Little Ladybug Saleabration Host Set

Hello and welcome to my blog:  Simple stamping was started to help the new and beginning stampers to have ideas and inspiration as well as learn the basics.   Today I am going to share a Simple Stamping Birthday Card using the Little Ladybug Saleabration Host Stamp Set.  This is a super cute stamp set that can be earned with a qualifying order of $300 during Saleabration.  I am super in love with these cute little ladybugs and all the sentiments in this stamp set makes this set a perfect one for every occasion.  I will also share with you two designs for the Casual and Avid stampers during this post.  Here's a look at my card.

For today's simple stamping card I used just stamps, ink , and paper.  These are the basic supplies along with a little adhesive that anyone needs to create a card.  You can create wonderful cute cards with just these few supplies.  When you are starting out you don't have to have everything in the catalog or stores to create cute projects.  I love going back to the basics and using the basic supplies to create.  It helps to free my mind and allows me to think creatively to create more involved projects.

Simple Stamper Version:

The Simple Stamping version I only used stamps ink and paper as I mentioned above.  For my card base I used a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.  I used Poppy Parade ink and stamped the two little ladybugs in the center right-hand side of the card.  I used a blender pen to add a watercolor like look to the wings and little of the body using just my ink pads.  This is a easy technique that is good for beginners that don't have a lot of supplies because it will widen your range of coloring media without much investment.  I stamped my sentiment on a strip of Highland Heather Cardstock in Gorgeous Grape Ink.  I cut a slanted end to draw a little interest.  I added a strip of Poppy Parade Designer Series Paper from the Brights Paper Stack cut just a little bigger than the sentiment strip.  I then stamped the little line of ladybugs above and below the stamped images and sentiment strip.

Casual Card:

For my casual version of this card I added in the addition of the Everyday Label Punch.  I extended the length of the label by cutting the strip of cardstock that I stamped cut just to fit inside the punch.  You have to thread the paper through one side of the punch but out the inside of the punch where the only thing being punched is the very end.  I did this on both sides and then repeated it with the Highland Heather cardstock.  Everything else with the card was done exactly the same, besides I added a few more Champagne Rhinestones.  I did pop the punched out piece up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Avid Card:

For my avid card I added in a few more ink pads and the addition of the coordinating dies.  I added in Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Petal Pink to go along with the Gorgeous Grape and Poppy Parade.  I stamped the flower in Blushing Bride and then colored it in with my blender pen and Blushing Bride, Gorgeous Grape, and Pear Pizzazz ink pads for a simple watercolor appearance.  For my ladybugs I used the two colors I had previously but also added in a little Petal Pink to their faces and bellies.  I then used the Ladybug Dies (which will be coming out in February as part of this years Coordination Product Release.  I will have more details on that coming soon.  One of the perks of being a demonstrator is you get to order new products early so you could add these items to your starter kit by joining my team.
Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have found this post inspiring and that if you are not currently a stamper that you will give it a try.

Thoughtful Blooms Simple Stampin Episode 43

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a new Simple Stamping card and video.  If's been awhile since I have shared a Simple Stamping card since the start of the Holidays.  I am happy to be back and happy to be sharing with you some new simple stamping.  Simple Stamping was designed to share and teach the joy of stamping with new stampers and people that have maybe done just a little stamping.  For my card today I am using the Sale-a-bration stamp set Thoughtful Blooms for my card today.  Here's a look at my card.

The Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set is a perfect floral stamp set for cards.  Make thank you cards and congratulations cards with the sentiments in this set, or mix and match this set with other stamp sentiments to make cards for any occasion.  This Two-Step Stampin’ set lets you layer images to create more depth and interest.  Get the stamp set with its coordinating punch, and make piles of cards in a snap!  Earn this stamp set FREE with a qualifying purchase January 3–March 31, 2020, during our Sale-A-Bration promotion!

Video Tutorial:

If you are viewing this post by email you may have to click here or the image below to view the video.  Not all email servers will show the embedded video.
For my card I stamped the a couple of the different larger flowers around the card along with the greenery.  I then filled in areas of the paper with the smaller flowers.  I added some more of the leaves and added this to my card base.  I then stamped the sentiment and added it to the card to finish off the simple stamping version of this card.  All of the supplies that I used to make this card will cost you before shipping and taxes $72.75.  Which would allow you to get the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set for FREE as your Saleabration choice.

Simple Stamping Card Supply List:

For the Casual Crafter:

Now for the casual crafter you can totally step this card up a little more by adding just a few more supplies.  For my causal crafter version of this same card I added in the Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon, the Champagne Basic Rhinestones a Crumb Cake Ink Pad and the Small Bloom Punch along with some mini dimensionals.
I did the same design as before but stamped the vein image around the the card base in matching crumb cake ink.  Added the rhinestones and Petal Pink Metallic Edge ribbon to dress everything up just a little bit more.  With the addition of these few items at $93.25 before taxes and shipping you can still get the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp set for free.  Now if you add in a little bit more and brought your total up to $150 you would be able to get the Stamp Set and matching punch for free.  Plus qualify for stampin' rewards to use towards more free items.

Casual Card Shopping List:

Avid Stampers Card:

Now for the Avid stampers version of this card I added in the Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut the hand made designer series paper but left everything else the same.  By using the dies it brought my before shipping and tax total to $125.25.  So by adding an additional 24.75 you would be able to get both the Stamp set and matching punch as your saleabration items and us Stampin' Rewards for some more freebies.  I would probably add in the matching stamp set to the Stitched So Sweetly dies to bring me over the $150 mark.
