Bird Ballad RAK Card Received from Victoria Hevener

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the Random Act of Kindness card I received back in June from Victoria Hevener.  Victoria created this really fabulous card and and sent out.  I was super happy to open this little gift in the mail.  Here's a look at her card.

I am not quite sure how she created this lovely card but I have my thoughts on how I would create it.  To recreate her card I would first stamp all the images on a piece of whisper white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black around the card.  Next I would add a piece of post it tape to the section I wanted the first line.  I would then use my Stampin' Blends to color up to that line and around all the images.  I think the top color is the light Night of Navy blend, and the other two colors was Seaside Spray light and dark.  Going down to the next section the above steps was repeated and then again.  in the lightest color.
To finish off the card the card front was added to a basic black card base.  The sentiment was stamped on whisper white and then cut out using the stitched label dies.  She cut one of the flowers out either from the designer series paper or after coloring it.  She added a vellum strip made into fish tail banners.
Thanks for dropping by today.  I hope that you have enjoyed Victoria's card as much as I did.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop: A Little Smile

Hello and welcome to my blog; today you may have noticed that we are a little later than normal.  That's because I am taking part in this month's A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop.  The blog hop goes live a little later than my normal post.  This month we are showcasing alternative projects for the A Little Smile June 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  This kit was designed to give you small little cards to be used for Random Acts of Kindness (RAK cards).  Here's a look at my alternative projects.
I created a larger card from the smaller cards in the set and a desk organizer/card box to put those cards in along with some stamps and other post it notes.  That way you have everything right at hand to send out your cards.

Video Tutorial:

If you are viewing my post by email you will have to click on the image below to view the video.

Closer Look:

Here's a little closer look at both of my projects.
For my card I used one of the little rak cards to create the focal image for my larger card.  I used a piece of coastal cabana cardstock and created a top folding A2 size card.  I stamped the background using three of the images from this month's stamp set.  I then added accents from this month's kit.  Here's a closer look at this month's stamp set and the supplies that came in the kit.
For my dimensional project I created a little desk/card organizer for A2 size cards.  The desk organizer will hold about five or six cards, as well as some post it notes and stamps, plus you can place your business cards in the front little bin.  I created this from just one sheet of crumb cake cardstock; not bad if you ask me.
Well, that's my projects for this month I hope that you have enjoyed them both.  If you would like to get Paper Pumpkin you can do so by signing up here.  If you are viewing this post on my wordpress blog you will need to click here to view the blog roll.

Lovely Lattice (Here's to Those That Inspire Us) Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a little card that I designed at the start of Sale-a-bration.  This card was designed to share with someone that inspires you and they don't even know it.  It is a great RAK (Random Act of Kindness) Card.  Who wouldn't love to get a card in the mail letting them know that they inspired you and they didn't even know it.  Everyone!  Here's a look at my card.

Tips & Tricks:

My card today features the Lovely Lattice Stamp set as the main image.  I started off my card by stamping the large image from the Lovely Lattice Stamp Set using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink knowing that I was going to do a little Stampin' Blends coloring.  I love my Stampin' Blends because they make alcohol marker coloring so easy.  And I am super excited with the announcement of a storage solution coming for our Stampin' Blends, as well as our new ink pad style April 1, 2019 with Storage by Stampin' Up!.  If you missed my post about the new storage coming you can find those details by clicking here.
Once I had the image stamped it was time to start coloring.  I used Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow, Mint Macaron, and a little Pineapple Punch to color my image.  I also used the color lifter to soften some of the lighter transitions.

The main colors for my card were Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, and Petal Pink: While Mossy Meadow, Pineapple Punch, and Mint Macaron were my secondary colors.  Meaning I used those three colors as the accent for the primary colors on the card.  Each of these colors will work with each other and work fine together.

Once I had everything colored I stamped my sentiment and did a some partial fussy cutting.  After I had the part of the Lovely Lattice Image fussy cut that I wanted to stand out I then used my Stampin' Trimmer to cut the excess off to have a nice straight edge.  I then sat this image aside for a little while and took a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and used the Tufted Dynamic Texture Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot to create a little texture and interest to the card.  Next I used Stampin' Dimensionals behind the cut image and layered my panels together.  To finish it off I added a few rhinestones to the front that I colored using the dark rich razzleberry stampin' blend marker.  I also stamped the inside of the card using the other stamps from the Lovely Lattice stamp set and added it to the inside of the card.
I stamped those images at the bottom of the whisper white cardstock this allows plenty of room for me to write my message inside.  The sentiment on the outside of the card came from the Part of My Story Stamp Set which is also a level 1 Sale-a-bration item.  And you can get these two items for free by placing a $100 order in my online store.  There are only a couple more days left of Saleabration so don't delay if you want these two sets and have not gotten them yet.

Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that I may have inspired you just a little. And, I hope you give this technique a try.  Remember there are only two and a half days left of Saleabration and to get any of the items from the Saleabration Coordination products as well.
