OSAT Blog Hop - You've Got This

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am taking part in the One Stamp At A Time (OSAT) Blog Hop.  This month's theme is all about encouragement.  I picked the Queens Anne's Lace Stamp Set to create both my projects.  I created a card and a little box.  The box that I created was done with one of the Flowers For Every Season Memory & More Note Cards.  Here's a look at my card.

All this week I have just been using supplies that are in the suggested Starter Kit from Stampin' Up!, along with the supplies in the Get & Go Joining Special.  The Queen Anne's Lace Stamp Set is part of this special.   It's actually one of the stamp sets you get for free during September.  Since I have only allowed myself the supplies in the Suggested Starter Kit to use this week, I used a piece of Whisper White Cardstock as my card base.  I cut down one of the Flowers for Every Season Memory & More Note Cards to server as my card front.

I cut down another piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 3" x 4" and stamped the Queen Anne's Lace image from the stamp set in Just Jade and Bumblebee Inks.  I added a Best Wishes sentiment to the front of the card.  This will allow me to write whatever encouraging message I need to on the inside of the card.  I added the stamped image to the card front with a few Stampin' Dimensionals.  And finished off my card with a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

For my 3D project this month I used another one of the Flowers For Every Season Memory & More Note Cards and created a super cute little box.  Yes, I said I used one of the note cards to create a box.  Here's how my box turned out.

After all the scoring, cutting, and folding was complete.  I stamped the same image I used on my card all over a piece of Whisper White Cardstock in the same two colors to create my own designer series paper to decorate my little box.  I stamped the same sentiment on a strip of Whisper White, that actually came from a cut off of the handmade DSP, and added it to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added a few rhinestones and wrapped some of the Cinnamon Cider In Color Ribbon around it and tied the ribbon into a nice bow.

OSAT Blog Hop - Manly May

Hello and welcome to my blog and the One Stamp At A Time May Blog Hop!  This month our theme was Manly May so we all created projects with the guys in mind.  I decided to do a little sneak peek at some of the new products coming out soon in the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  I picked the World of Good Suite to feature in my little sneak peek today, and it was perfect for some manly projects.  Here's a look at my projects for this month.

Adventure Awaits:

Beautiful World Bundle, World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper, Manly Project, Rick Adkins, Stampin' Up!

More my card this month I featured the Beautiful World Bundle along with a few other products that will be coming soon.  Currently the only way to get these products is being a demonstrator.  You can add them to items that we got to preorder in your starter kit.  I started out my card by picking which designer series paper from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper I wanted to use.  I went with one of the ones with the brass foil accents and Cinnamon Cider backgrounds.  I mean really I could have picked any of them and I would have been happy.  I've never seen a pack a of paper that is so wonderful.

Once the designer series paper was selected it was very easy to move forward.  I took a piece of Cinnamon Cider Cardstock and used the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder to create a fun texture to it.  I loved that I didn't have to take my cardstock and crumple it up throw it on the floor and stomp on it a couple times to get this texture.  You all know what I am talking about; we've all done it!  Once I embossed the cardstock I took my Versamark and Early Espresso Ink Pads and ran very lightly over the surface.  I wanted the raised edges to pick up the different colors.  Since we could not preorder the New In Color Ink Pads I had to figure out how to get the look of the Cinnamon Cider with out having it.  So the versamark on the colored cardstock was my best option.  Now you may be wondering how I got a close color on the world with out having the ink pad.  Well, I sat down with a few ink refills and started mixing them in different ratios and watering them down to get the color I wanted.  It's not an exact match but it's close.

My sentiment was added with the new Lovely Labels Pick A Punch which is going to go on back order quick because it's going to be so popular.  You can create six different punched labels with just this one punch.  LOVE IT!!!   I used a 1" strip of Early Espresso Cardstock for the back piece and a 3/4" strip of Cinnamon Cider Cardstock for the label I stamped the sentiment on.

Life's a Beautiful Journey Box:

So for my 3D project this month I kept with the same suite of products and same color scheme and came up with a super cute box, that I just love.  I don't always love my 3D projects each month but this one is hands down my favorite.  Here's a look at the box.

I repeated the same embossing as the card but instead of adding both the Versamark and the Early Espresso Ink, I just did the Versamark.  I personally like the this better than the two colors, but you can let me know which you prefer.   The final measurement of the box is 4 1/2" x 2" x 3".  So, you can see it's a nice size little gift box.  After embossing everything I added the embossed pieces to a Whisper White mat that's 1/8" different all the way around the embossed layers.  I then added it to the box which I made from a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock.

Once I everything put together I stamped one of the worlds from the Beautiful World Stamp Set and used the matching dies to cut it and stand out.  I stamped the world on Cinnamon Cider Cardstock in Early Espresso Classic Ink.  The stand was stamped on Whisper White Cardstock as well as the sentiment.  I then tied some of the Early Espresso 1/4" Faux Suede Trim around the box and tied it in a bow.  Which by the way actually ties very easily.  Next I added the world and stand to the top of the box with a few Stampin' Dimensionals.  I punched out the sentiment using the Story Label Punch:  Which I attached with a little liquid glue.

OSAT Blog Hop - Chick Ewe Out!

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am sharing my projects with you from this months One Stamp At A Time (OSAT) Blog Hop.  This month our theme is Chick Ewe Out!  This is proved to be a super fun theme to play with, and I had a lot of fun creating my two projects for you this month.  I used the Welcome Easter Stamp Set from the 2020 January-June Mini Catalog.  I also used some "uneggpected" products as well.  Plus my card for this months hop has an eggcellent surprise.   Here's a look at my projects this month.

Tips & Tricks:

To start I designed my card before I figured out my dimensional project.  I started out with a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock (5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4).  I then added a piece of the Dinoroar Designer Series paper; the one with the eggs on it.  I then added a super skinny mat of Whisper White and then another mat of Pretty Peacock cardstock on the outside.  I then added it the card base.  I then added a strip of the Woven Thread Designer series paper to a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock.  On top of this I added some of the Pretty Peacock Scalloped Ribbon along this piece before adding it to the card base.

Next I stamped the chick and the sheep from the stamp set and colored them in with my watercolor pencils and used the blender pen to smooth out the color.  I then cut out two of the eggs using the egg die from the dino die set.  I added a little color around the edges with my Pineapple Punch Blends.  I stamped the Sweet Friend sentiment on the front of one of the eggs.  I then joined the two eggs with a brad to secure the two pieces together.  Add by doing that it allows the egg to do this.

Cute right!  Well, I think the 3d project is as cute as the card.  I used the purse die from the Dress to Impress Dies and some Pineapple Punch Cardstock to cut out the purse.  I then cut out one from the same pattern as the card and cut out along the inside of the stitched lines and trimmed it down just a little from the top so that it would fit on the side of the front.  I added a couple of the 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots to look as a closer.  Then added the little bunny to the front for a fun unexpected touch.

Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have enjoyed my project today and I hope that you have a fun time hopping along.  If you need any of the products you have seen today, you can pick them up in my online store by clicking on the shopping list below.
