Clubhouse Easy Fun Fold Card

Hello and welcome to my blog: today I am going to share with you a card I designed for a Make & Take at a Local Demonstrator meeting a few weeks ago.  Each quarter the Demonstrators in North Alabama have a quarterly get together and talk about different topics, we also do a couple Make & Takes and I volunteered to provide one of them this quarter.  I decided to design my project around the Country Club Suite in the new 2020 Mini Catalog.  I designed a very easy fun fold card using this suite of products.  And It's also a great masculine Birthday Card for any guy in your life that loves to golf.  Here's a look at my project.

The Clubhouse Bundle includes the Clubhouse Stamp Set and the Golf Club Dies.  Celebrate all things masculine and sporty with the detailed golfing, line-art images in the Clubhouse Stamp Set. Create a golf-themed greeting card for the men in your life.  GOLF CLUB DIES allows you to
create fun cards and projects for the golf lovers in your life. The dies include a die-cut golf ball, golf clubs, golfer, and more.  Pair with the coordinating Clubhouse Stamp Set to quickly cut out stamped images from the set. Make Father’s Day cards, birthday cards, and more! Great for masculine projects.  When you pair the stamp set and dies with the matching Country Club Designer Series Paper you will hit a hole in one with clubhouse-themed paper. This high-quality printed paper is excellent scrapbook paper, card making paper, and more. Pack includes various golf-themed images, prints, and patterns. It’s a great choice for masculine cards and projects

Tips & Tricks;

The first thing that I did for my card was to cut the card base to size and did my score lines.  This card has two score lines one at 4 1/4" and the other at 1".  On the smaller score line that's to be folded back I stamped the golf ball up and down that side in Garden Green ink.  Which by the way was the only ink pad I used for this card.   I then added a small strip of Whisper White behind the stamped piece and added some of the Country Club Twine Combo Pack to that side wrapping it around and then tied it into a bow.  The Twine Combo pack comes with four spools of twine one each in the following colors.  Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Night of Navy, and Garden Green.  The Country Club Twine Combo Pack is perfect for cards, tags, treat packaging and so much more.

I then took a strip of the Country Club Designer Series paper and cut it into two pieces.  One that measured 1" x 5 1/2 and the other was 1 1/8" x 5 1/2".  The larger of the two was attached to the outside of the card and the 1" strip was placed on the inside of the card.  I then stamped the golf ball and tee from the stamp set and cut it out with the matching die.  I added a whisper white strip of cardstock with the outside sentiment to fold on the front using dimensionals only on the fold.  I popped the golf ball up also with a dimensional.  You don't want to place the dimensionals on the opening passed the fold because you will glue your card close.
For the inside of the card I stamped the golfer and the Happy Birthday Sentiment on a piece of whisper white cardstock and attached it to the inside allowing a mat around this piece.  So when you open the card you have this fun inside sentiment and place to write your message.

Sizes & Dimensions:

  • Garden Green Cardstock:  5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 & 1"
  • Whisper White Cardstock:  1/2" x 5 1/2", 3" x 5 1/4", 2 1/2" x 1 1/4", scrap for Golf Ball and tee,
  • Country Club Designer Series Paper:  2 1/8" x 5 1/2" cut to 1" x 5 1/2"
  • 20 - 24" of Country Club Twine

Mountain Air Masculine Birthday Card - January-June Mini Catalog Sneak Peek

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card that I made using the Mountain Air Bundle in the upcoming January-June Mini Catalog.  The Mountain Air stamp set is a reversible stamp set that features a outdoor scene that I was drawn to right off the bat.  And, the funny part about that is that I have never been camping a day in my life and I am terrified of the woods with all the snakes and masked killers chasing down teenagers and all.   Okay, I may have watched to many horror movies, but you never know it could happen and it would be my luck.  Here's a look at my card.

Tips & Tricks:

I was very surprised how easy this stamp set was to use, I was also impressed with how it stamped.  I started out by stamping the mountain in the back first.  I stamped it with Sahara Sand Ink.  Next I stamped the more detailed image in Basic Gray ink.
Next I stamped the distance mountains in Old olive and flipped the stamp around and stamped it in Garden Green.  Next I used the next set of trees in Mossy Meady but double stamped it.  After that I worked on the trees in the foreground.   Using Mossy Meadow and Pretty Peacock.  I stamped the detail layer of the trees and die cut them out.  I layered the die cuts up with either liquid glue or stampin' dimensionals.  I added the detailed die cut with liquid glue.
My sentiment came from another stamp set from the January-June Mini Catalog.  I used the Label Me Bold stamp set.  I cut out the stamped image with my paper snips and placed it on the tree.  I think it makes the perfect masculine birthday card.
The Mountain Air Bundle and the Label Me Bold Stamp Set will be available in the January-June Mini Catalog which goes live on January 3, 2020.

Masculine Card Using the Daisy Lane Stamp Set Video Tutorial

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card using the Daisy Lane Stamp Set.  The Daisy Lane Stamp Set is brand NEW in the 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog wish has gone live earlier than announced today. This stamp set can be used for everyone, not just for a feminine card.  I am going to share with you a masculine card using this set instead today.  So when looking at stamp sets don't get hung up on the name and think you can only use it for a certain sex, because I am sure you can find a image that can be used for a masculine card as well.  The Daisy Lane Stamp set is one of those sets, because you can create a really nice masculine card with it.  Here's a look at my card.

For my card I used the fern image from the Daisy Lane set and stamped it in two different colors.  I used Sahara Sand and Night of Navy on this card.  I picked the colors from the bakers twine.  Ferns can be any color you want so don't limit yourself to just greens.  Why not be a little whimsical and have a little fun with it.  In the video I share a different color combination with you.

Sizes & Dimensions:

  • Night of Navy Cardstock - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 & 1 1/8 x 5
  • Sahara Sand Cardstock -  (2) 4 x 5 1/4*
  • Whisper White Cardstock - (2) 3 3/4 x 5*
* numbers in ()'s are how many pieces of cardstock in that color you will need
