CASE the Catalog - Easter Promise

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you one of the CASE the Catalog Swap cards that I got back in November.  Easter is around the corner and I wanted to share this cute card with you today.  I am not sure who made this card in the swap group but I love what they did.  The card that was CASED (Copy and Share Everything) from the Easter Promise Card on the top of page 44 of the January-June Mini Catalog.  Here's a look at the card I received.

Tips & Tricks:

For this card the card base was made from Purple Posy Cardstock (5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4).  There's a strip of Purple Posy Cardstock that has been embossed with the Spripty 3D embossing folder along with the stitched nestled label die cuts.  The center square was made with the largest square in the Stitched Shapes Dies.

The flowers and the Happy Easter Sentiment were both heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and then heat set.  The flowers where colored in with stampin blends in the following colors; Purple Posy, Rococo Rose, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive.  Once the flowers where colored they were cut out using snips.

Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have a wonderful rest of your weekend.  If you need any of the supplies you can order them in my online store by clicking on the items in the shopping list below.

Painted Poppies CASE the Catalog

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you another Card for my CASE the Catalog Series.  Today's card was one that I received as part of a swap that I took part in back in November.  We were all assigned a different stamp set or bundle from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure or the January-June Mini Catalog to CASE.  As a reminder CASE means Copy And Share Everything or Copy and Selectively Edit.  This card was done by Elizabeth Mayfield-Hart of Spread Joy Stamping.  I have linked her blog so you can check out all the great projects Elizabeth comes up with.  Here's the card that Elizabeth picked to CASE from the Catalog.

Tips & Tricks:

This is a varly easy card to reproduce and I would actually consider it to be more on the #simplestamping side of the crafting spectrum.  The card base is a piece of Calypso Coral Cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 to make a side folding card base.  Next Elizabeth stamped the poppy image from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set.  She stamped it a couple of times along the bottom of the Poppy Parade layer (3 3/4 x 5 1/2).  This can be done two different ways.  One with just the stamp and a clear block.  Or, you can also do this by using the Stamparatus.

I not sure if Elizabeth used Stazon or Tuxedo Black ink for the stamping, but I am willing to suggest that it's probably Stazon Jet Black ink.  I think that this is the ink that was used because of how dark black it is stamped.  Tuxedo Black is really just a dark dark charcoal gray color and not a true true black.  The sentiment came from the matching stamp set Peaceful Moments.  Both of these stamp sets work together beautifully.  The Painted Poppies is all about the imagery and so in contrast the Peaceful Moments is all sentiments that can go with the Painted Poppies set or with any set you would like.
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have a wonderful day and the finish of your weekend.  If you need any of the supplies you've seen today; you will find them all listed in the shopping list below.

Gangs all Meer Pillow Box - Case the Catalog Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you this weeks CASE the catalog project.  This week I am going to share with you a super cute project from the Saleabration Brochure.  Today's project is a super cute pillow box that makes for some wonderful gift packaging not to mention it was decorated wonderfully for a  Birthday gift.  Casing is the perfect solution if you are ever in need of an idea or looking to improve your skills.  CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything, or Copy And Selectively Edit.  Plus all the Stampin' Up! catalogs are great for ideas, inspiration, and creative sparks.  Here's a look at the todays project.

 Tips & Tricks:

You're going to need about a 6 1/2" x 3" piece of the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper.  You are going to open the pillow box fill it with your gift and then close the other end.  Add Tear & Tape to one end of the Designer series paper and wrap it around the pillow box secure the other end with the tear & tape.  Stamp the two little meerkats onto the a large stitched whisper white circle.  Stamp the birthday hat in Pacific point ink on top of one of the meerkats heads.

Color the meerkats with crumb cake ink and a blender pen.  Repeat the coloring process on the ground.  Color the sky with the blender pen and a little pool party ink.  Attach the stitched circle when dry to the pillow box with a couple dimensionals.
Wrap some of the Bermuda Bay Mini Striped Ribbon around the pillow box and tie into a bow.  Stamp the sentiments on some scrap cardstock and cut them down.  Add to the stitched circles using mini stampin' dimensionals.  Punch a hole in the circle and run some Linen thread through it and tie to the bow.
And that finishes this super cute project.  I told you this was a super quick easy and cute project.

You can earn The Gangs All Meer Stamp Set for free during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying order of $50.00.  All of the supplies needed for this project can be ordered in my online store.
