Mystery Stamping Card Revealed Video Tutorial

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to reveal the cad that I made during Friday's Mystery Stamping Event that I held on my Facebook Business Page.  Were you able to join me live on Friday or did you catch the replay?  If not you will find the step by step tutorial here.  For those that missed the event and have no clue what I am talking about I held a event via Facebook Live on Friday morning at 10 am CST where I gave you clues and walked you through how to create the card that I had designed for you during the event.  The best part about this event was that you got to use any supplies that you wanted in your stash.  And we got to create a fun little card together by following the steps.  Here's a look at my card.

Bonanza Buddies Stamp Set, Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper, Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon, Birthday Card, Mystery Stamping, Rick Adkins, Stampin' Up!

Mystery Stamping Supplies:

• Cardstock 5 ½ x 8 ½ scored at 4 ¼
• A Stamp Set with both Sentiments and images
• Designer Series Paper or matching cardstock to your card base – four cut at 4” x 1”
• two 4 x 5 ¼ piece of Whisper White
• 2” Circle Punch or 2” Circle Die
• Coordinating Ink Pads: Two or three colors
• Ribbon and Embellishment
• Adhesive: Snail Adhesive/Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots if you need them

Tips & Tricks:

During the live event and even on the replay that you can watch and play along with below I walked everyone through the steps to make this card design.  The first thing we did was take our chosen card base and fold in half.  I picked Mango Melody cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 for my card base.  I picked this color because it was one of the colors in the designer series paper. Plus I really like this color it's a nice bright fun yellow orange color that just makes me happy.

Next we attached the four 4" x 1" strips of designer series paper to the card front.  You could have chosen to use matching cardstock cut the same way.  I think it would be pretty to have either used a border die, border punch, or even embossed cardstock for this step.  I picked the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper because it was part of Birthday Bonanza Suite of products and coordinates perfectly with the stamp set and the fun card design I had planned for this event.

Next we stamped the sentiment from the stamp set and stamped one of the images from the stamp set onto a 2" circle that was either die cut or punched out.  Before adding the circle on dimensionals we added two 3 1/2" strips of ribbon.  You could use any ribbon you wanted as long as it coordinated with your products.  I used the Daffodil Delight 1/4" Ruched Ribbon.  I love the texture the ribbon adds to the card and the pop of color.  Not that the products I picked didn't create a colorful card as it was but it just needed a little something.

To finish off the card and to solve the mystery we added an embellishment of your choosing.  I picked the Iridescent Sequin Assortment from the Annual Catalog.  I thought the fun colors played well with the colors in the card.  I know that they Iridescent Sequin Assortment doesn't have the same colors in it I thought they played nicely with the colors on the card.  I tired to use only the So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz sequins on my card.

Botanical Prints Product Medley - Saturday Simple Stamping

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share a Simple Stamping card with you using products from the Botanical Prints Products Medley plus a few additional supplies.  Creativity comes easy when you've got amazing coordinating products. Stampin' Up! doesn't want to brag, but coordination is one of their strong points. The Botanical Prints Product Medley is a perfect example. The medley includes stamps, paper, dies, and accessories for creating cards and more.  With everything included in this product medley it's perfect to make Simple Stamping Cards with when you are just starting out.  Because a majority of what you need plus more is right in the box.  Here's a look at my Saturday Simple Stamping card for this week.

Tips & Tricks:

Since simple stamping is all about stamps, ink, and paper I found the products in the Botanical Prints Product Medley perfect to create some #simplestamping cards.  I cut a piece of the Botanical Prints Designer Series Paper down and added a matching mat layer behind my designer series paper to enhance the mix of black and white imagery with the bold beautiful colors on the paper.  I added my layer to a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock that I cut down to 4 x 5 1/4.  I simple stamped friend in Terracotta Tile Classic Ink at the bottom of this layer and added it to a Thick Whisper White Base that I cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.

For the inside of the card I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Happy Birthday to You Stamp Set (which is a Saleabration set this year and can be earned for Free with a qualifying order).  I added a couple of the matching floral images from the Botanical Prints Stamp Set on the inside of the card to tie it in.  I keep the color pallet simple and only used the one color ink.  When you are a beginner this makes your card making so easy because you don't have to hunt for matching ink colors or colors that coordinate.   But if you have followed me for anytime at all you know that I firmly believe as long as you pull your colors from a pack of designer series paper they will match because Stampin' Up! has done all the coordinating work for us.  So, you can rest assured that the colors you pick from the designer series paper will be a perfect match on your card or project.

To create a perfect matching envelope I stamped the same botanical print in Terracotta Tile Classic Ink on the flap of the envelope.  This creates the perfect coordinating envelope and gives the person on the receiving end a little hint at what's inside.  If you need any of the products you have seen today you can order them in my online store by clicking on the items in the shopping list below.  Thank you for stamping bye don't forget to follow my blog for daily inspiration.

Feminine Simple Stamping Birthday Card - Layered With Kindness

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I wanted to share with you the feminine version of the card that I shared with you yesterday.  For today's version of this card I used the Layered with Kindness Stamp Set for all the images and the sentiment.  Create quick tags and greeting cards with graceful greetings from the Layered with Kindness Stamp Set. Stamp flowers and leaves for a finishing touch. This stamp set is also available in French. This is a Distinktive** stamp set; it has a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images. **Patent pending  If you missed my card yesterday you can click here to view it.  Here's a look at my card for today.

I used the images from the stamp set to stamp my piece of whisper white cardstock to create my own dsp as I did with the card yesterday.  To make it a more feminine card I changed the stamp set, and the colors.  I used So Saffron, Melon Mambo, and Granny Apple Green inks on my card.

I took the stamped background and added it to a piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock and then added the card front to a Melon Mambo Card base cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.  I then stamped my sentiment onto a piece of whisper white cardstock in Melon Mambo ink.  I used the Lovely Label punch to punch it and a piece of So Saffron Cardstock.  I cut the So Saffron one in half and added it behind the sentiment.  I then added two pieces of the Granny Apple Green Ribbon to the front and added the sentiment on top.  To finish the card I add some of the Melon Mambo Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots to the front.

Thanks for dropping by I hope that you have enjoyed my card and you will give it a try.  If you need any of the supplies you have seen today you can pick them up in my online store 24/7.

OSAT February Blog Hop: Sixteen Candles

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you may projects for the February 2020 One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop; this month our theme was Sixteen Candles.  So I came up with a super cute birthday card and gift box for you.  I used the Forever Blossoms Bundle and other products from the Parisian Blossoms Suite from the Stampin' Up! January through June Mini Catalog.  I created a Double Hidden Magnetic Closure Flip Top Box for my 3D project and a super cute card.  Here's a look at my project.

Happy Birthday Card:

I started out by designing the card for my project first.  I wanted to use the designer series paper but I also wanted the floral branch to be dominate on my project.  So I decided on a peek a boo design.  I started out by stamping and coloring two of the cherry blossoms from the Forever Blossoms Bundle.  I used my Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, and Pool Party Stampin' Blends Combo packs to color each of the cherry blossoms.  Once that was done I cut them out with the matching dies.  I also marked off on my designer series paper where I wanted the blossoms to fit and did partial die cutting to have a place to place the blossoms.  My card base is a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that I scored at 5 1/2 to make a A2 size top folding card.  I then added the designer series paper to the top and bottom sections.  After that I popped the two Cherry Blossoms up in place on Dimensionals.  To finish off the card I die cut the words happy and birthday from the Well Said Dies and placed them on the center of the card.

Forever Blossoms Double Magnetic Closure Flip Top Box:

For my box I came up with the design based off my card.  I knew that I wanted it to have the same Peek a boo feel, but it was a matter of figuring out just how to do it.  I knew I wanted the designer series paper to be a feature on the card just like I did with the card.  So I came up with the Flip top box.  The base of the box is Crumb Cake cardstock while the top of the box is the Parisian Blossoms Speciality Designer Series Paper.  Once I had the design figured out it was pretty easy as you will see in the video tutorial.  I used one sheet of cardstock for the box.  One cut at 4 1/4 x 11 and the other half I cut down to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.  Once I assembled the pieces and added the 4 1/4 x 10 piece of DSP I added the magnets and floral accents.  The ribbon around the box is purely decorative.
