Hello There - Art Gallery meets Sweet Strawberry Stamp Sets

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card that I made last week and I shared the technique with you on my Facebook Live last week and on my YouTube Channel I will link to the blog post and that video here in case you missed it.  I took one of the backgrounds that I made during that video paired it with the Art Gallery and Sweet Strawberry Stamp Sets and made a card using it.  Here's a look at that card.

Hello There! I have a super cute card for you today using the Art Gallery and Sweet Strawberry Stamp Sets and a little color inspiration. Click here

Tips & Tricks:

To create the background of the card I used Polished Pink Cardstock (one of the new 2021-2023 In Colors) and embossed it with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I took a Blending Brush and some White Craft Ink and very lightly brushed over the top of it  To create a lighter background and to add a little bit more interest to the card.  I then cut the card front in half in my Paper Trimmer and took off about an inch from one side.

I then used the two pieces to create a channel on the card base (which was made from a piece of Smoky Slate Cardstock) and stamped the sentiment inside this channel.  I used Smoky Slate Ink to do that.  Next I used the medium flower bouquet from the Art Gallery Stamp Set to stamp two bouquets of flowers.  I used my Stamparatus to do this with my Stampin' Write Markers.

Weekly Color Inspiration:

I wanted to have an image with all three colors that is part of my Color Inspiration this week.  I love color and love playing with different color combinations for my projects and to see just how they work together.  I know that there are others out there just like me that love color and love to play with them.  I also know that there are some out there that are a little scared to play with colors.  So, once a week I will be sharing with you a different color combination that inspired me and I hope that it inspires you as well.

Colors are a wonderful to play with different looks and feelings on your cards,  By putting different color combinations together you can achieve different feels to your projects.  This Color Inspiration combo also shows just how well these colors that you may not have thought off can work together.  So, don't be afraid of playing with different color combinations.  You may just be surprised at how well that actually work together.

Mixed Stamp Sets:

One thing that I like todo sometimes is to mix my stamped images with sentiments from different stamp sets.  I did that on my card today.  I used the imagery from the Art Gallery Stamp Set.  Which has floral images that were inspired by impasto paintings.  The floral images in the Art Gallery Stamp Set can be used to create a variety of different cards.

But when you take those images and pair them with sentiments from a different stamp set you can allow your creative juices to flow freely; plus you are also going to be able to stretch your supplies and get new looks for your projects.  On my card today I used the sentiments from the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set.  The all-occasion sentiments from the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set are super sweet and have a mixed handwritten scripty font and a printed font combined, where as the sentiments from the Art Gallery Stamp Set are just a printed font.  This allows my card to have a different look than just using the sentiments from one stamp set.  Plus, I think it's a great idea to use what you have and create a new and perfect look and feel for what your project is for.
