Christmas Means More Super Easy Shaker Card ~ Rick Adkins

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a super fun shaker card for you. I learned how to do this during OnStage at Home earlier in November. This is also day 10 in my Fifteen Days of Christmas.

I am sharing a new project crafty handmade Christmas project with you each day until December 8th.

For my project today I used the Christmas Means More Stamp Set. Which by the way is a fun Christmas Greetings stamp set that contains sentiments from different holiday movies. For this card I picked my favorite one "Maybe Christmas Perhaps Means a little bit More" and stamped it on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock in Poppy Parade Ink. I layered my sentiment on a piece of Poppy Parade Cardstock that I cut just a little bigger than my sentiment piece.

Next I cut a piece of the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper and placed it in the center of a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Just Jade Cardstock. I then took my sentiment layer and glued it flat in the center of my card front. Once that was done it was time to make the super simple shaker element.

To make the shaker element you will need one of the Clear Envelopes from Stampin' Up! and something to put inside as the shaker elements. I used the Flowers for Every Season Gems as my shaker elements. I slide my card front on the inside one of the Clear Envelopes and a little bit of the Flowers for Every Season Gems. I then peeled the backing off the Clear Envelope and sealed it with everything inside. Next you have to fold over the other parts of the envelope but not to tightly because you need the shaker elements to move around still.

Once I had the extra parts of the envelope folded over I secured it in place with some Tear & Tape Adhesive. I then placed Stampin' Dimensionals all over the back of the shaker element and placed it on my Just Jade card base. To finish off the card you just simply need to add a Whisper White Inside piece if you want.
